  1. My post failed But I would be in the E Type
  2. I finished a rake of coaches today, an Eastern region rake of 8. I started it about 2012 or 2013. First carriage completed May 2014 Last carrage completed Aug 2020 (fitting gangways to 2 TSOs) No vehicle out of box 5 Airfix TSOs 1 Airfix FO, all fitted with etched frames and laser cut glazing, resprayed, numbered correctly, wire grabrails, FO now FK. 1 Replica BG, flush glazed renumbered airbraked 1 Lima based BAR, 247 sides and LOTS ot work Was a couple year gap in middle and of course trying to get hold of Brian Hanson. Also only 1 coach glazing to finish another rake of 8, a Western region set. All Airfix,
  3. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln_Continental_Mark_IV Very slow, my old 1978 Chrysler hatch was quicker and that was a 1600. The competitiors Jensen Interceptor Citroen SM And by far and away the best E Type
  4. I like those 81s. Will they all be E3001?
  5. My attempt to fix some Lima bogies was not very successful, gears hit the body on corners. Simple case of brass strip, really hard setting Araldite, brass tube of small outside diameter, and a raid of the spare gear collection from CMC many years ago. And the white metal sides were not great.
  6. What about the sprockets and stuff? They look good.
  7. Bikes also work on a big bang system rather than 1342 more like 13-- 24 or 14-- 2 3
  8. Most load just before slipping is a technique used by Brush to get excellent traction on slippery track. In the UK more useful than the USA traction improvement methods.
  9. I am getting very despondent on RTR mechanisms, I have two Bachmann steamers to fix, I know a few of my Diesels are on limilted time (MAZAK). It seems anything not big pancake (Lima / Hornby) or X04 is life limited,
  10. What about Peaks (all those old Mainline models?)
  11. I'd have 3 or 6 at EE sizes and 3 or 6 at Peak sizes (may do 6 with 3 unmotored)
  12. Back on page 5 I have so many locos needing power bogies due to age or design. (Lima EE or Mainline Peak) I did build a Lowrider but not suitable for a loco but fine for DMU. Was thinking of a couple of spare Hornby EE bogies under a Lima 50 but those 40 bogies are nice.
  13. I don't think HTC or Sony are too bothered. In fact I expect their sales to go up. I had a little go at a VR FPS and it was OK, I may pinch the controller and headset and try downstairs on my PS4. My son commented that most people struggle at first with the gun controller but I picked it up straight away. I had to remind him it was basically PS Move and I was top 0.5% on Killzone 3 multiplayer 100% on Move.
  14. Ashchurch to Gloucester as well. Bits of it were very WR, GWR locos on the ex MR lines. The whole area was mixed up. It is fascinating. My second oldest railway memory is Warship on blue grey maroon mix of Mark 1s
  15. I have seen piccies of them in service but late LMS. So Maroon basic lining M on the end of the numbers and grot them. Will be 4 in total for a planned WR ex LMS area. And yes they are correct for area, but went about 2 or 3 years too early.
  16. I am going to build a set of these in 1950 condition. Would they be worn LMS or BR Crimson? I know would be near scrapping.
  17. Thought the BBC programme in the morning was very good and the evening programme got turned off.
  18. Bredon is not that big, and the railway doen't go up it.
  19. Lickey Route has many long straights between Cheltenham and Worcester
  20. Measure the gap accurately and use Plastruct strip. Then you would not even know. Measure multiple times, cut once.
