  1. What you have to watch with PDF files. If they have been created with Adobe which is American software , their default paper size is 8.5 x 11 inches, if the person creating the files has not altered this to the European A4 size then scaling errors will occur when printing. Edit: which seems to bear out your 85% in the above post
  2. I'll start the ball rolling on my thoughts. Never tried this and it has probably been done before I am still thinking about the working 4mm man with pole while the whisky is flowing
  3. Its a prototype for curing the condensation problem of the Potting Shed.
  4. That looks nice Andy. I just don't know where you find all the time to be doing these things. Your days must be longer on the part of the planet where you live.
  5. That's your own fault for going on holiday and leaving us with no option but to talk amongst ourselves. I bet you go somewhere with wi-fi next time to keep us in check
  6. BITTON, (from the ground up) Index in Post 1, back on track from page 101 should have gone to Specsavers George
  7. Like me, too busy watching the Grand Prix
  8. I hope your good men will be up to the job of marshalling the carpark, providing crowd control, barbequeing the sausages and brewing the tea
  9. A COMPARISION OF 00 GAUGE STANDARDS.doc
  10. Yes, Bing Maps does show better ariel images than Google
  11. It could well be three arch, certainly shows two arches in those small photos. Yes it is skewed. Cannot see anything either side of the bridge on google street view as the embankments are overgrown with trees.
  12. Not old photos, but I think this website might interest you http://bristol-rail.co.uk/wiki/Category:MR
  13. Could be this http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/74639-using-historic-os-maps-to-trace-disused-railways-and-tramways/ Edit: I think this is the site you may be looking for http://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/maps/ If not, in the search box at the top of the page enter, old railway maps, click on This Topic and choose your search options
  14. Bl**dy hell, I hope its not what you're thinking Mike I think what Andy meant was his external drive. Please say that's what is was Andy :scared:
  15. Yep, I've got the fancy digital camera, camcorder, Ian allens Combined Volume, OXO tin full of sarnies, Lyons pies, now just waiting for Spock's teletransporter and then I'm ready to go
  16. Well done Andy. I guess it has taken quite awhile this time.
  17. That's the way Andy, we don't want those screen grabs of your French Maids with their titalating bits showing do we
  18. Always remember that doing a print screen with the keyboard is that you get the WHOLE screen in paint. So be very careful there is nothing showing that you do not want others to see. If in doubt paint it out
  19. I've put some instructions in The Lunester Lounge for those who are bothered
  20. Yeah, and the numpty this end was having a right panick attack when your flip flop wouldn't boot up first thing this morning
  21. Oh dear, seems that flip flop of yours is a bit flippy floppy and needs a bit of TLC. Shame you don't live nearer so I could sort it for you. Not being funny, I could do it remotely but not sure if you're up to it.
  22. When you look at this post. Press the Prt Scr Key only Open Word Press the Paste icon You now see what was on the screen when you read the post. That is the basics. If you did the same but opened Paint instead then you get more options like adding text, boxes, circles etc. The other free software I mentioned does far more, you can capture part of a screen and add text and draw on your capture all in the one program.
  23. Best to use screen capture. There are plenty of free software programs that will do that. Heres just one of them http://tinytake.com/
  24. I know you have only drawn rough lines on the plan, but when you do the front edge of the baseboard, curve it, it always looks so much better.
