If you do cancel (to avoid the dates for your second and third locos being reset when the first arrives) I would suggest only cancelling two of the locos, then at least you retain your original order date on one of them. -

I think Andy prefers stall motors to servos. No problem. I happen to prefer servos. Since both types of control (along with solenoids, wire in tube, and hand of God) can all be made to work, I believe it boils down to a matter of personal taste. As to being "totally redundant" and a "total waste of money" , it could be argued that the entire model railway is redundant/waste of money, as it is only a hobby and not an essential for sustaining life. But then life is more enriching with hobbies.

If you specified in your listing that the item has to be collected within x days, and he does not collect, then you could cancel the trasaction and return his payment (through E bay so that all relevant fees are also cancelled). Otherwise, you would have to allow a "reasonable" time, but I don't know how long that would be. I would have thought "a week" or the "until the next full weekend" would be sufficient. Maybe E bay has some guidance in its conditions.
