  1. Great news. I've just pre ordered mine. I also have an old K's kit (still unbuilt). Perhaps I'll still build it anyway. Its value on e-bay has probably just collasped.

I believe they visited every single foot of track on every route on a very regular basis (more than once an hour in fact!) and still do, with several members of the class preserved ;)

Not forgetting the one that got converted to 5'3" gauge and operated on the Belfast - Dublin line.

  2. ... my point was "do not enter the box unless your exit is clear".

    Ed

Today on the A580 I reached the stop line in lane 1 at a box juction ...........The lorry in front slowed on the junction, appearing to miss a gear change, forcing me to slow........

Ed could be correct. The whole issue of the lights/camera/action/speed could be irrelevant. If the exit to the box junction was blocked by the lorry in front, then the rules state that one should not enter.

Sorry Jenny. That probably does not help!

  3.

Why women should avoid a girls night after they are married:

The other night I was invited out for a night with “the girls.†I told my husband that I would be home by midnight, “I promise!†Well, the hours passed and the margaritas went down way too easy.

Around 3 a.m., a bit loaded, I headed for home. Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hall started up and cuckooed 3 times.

Quickly, realizing my husband would probably wake up, I cuckooed another 9 times. I was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick-witted solution (even when totally smashed), in order to escape a possible conflict with him.

The next morning my husband asked me what time I got in, and I told him “Midnightâ€. He didn’t seem pissed off at all. Whew! Got away with that one!

Then he said, “We need a new cuckoo clock thoughâ€. “When I asked him whyâ€, he said, “Well, last night our clock cuckooed three times, then said, “oh shitâ€, cuckooed 4 more times, cleared it’s throat, cuckooed another 3 times, giggled, cuckooed twice more and then tripped over the coffee table and farted.â€

    Easier to read

  4. Don't forget, there are three kinds of people in this world,

    Those that can count,

    And those that can't!

This reminds me that there are 10 types of people. Those who understand binary counting and those who don't

  5. I will be staying in France near St Paul de Garde, South of France for the first two weeks in September, then I will be travelling (slowly) from there to Roscoff, staying at places on the way.

Are there any RMWebbers in any of the areas I will be. If so, I would love to meet up, share a cool beer and maybe see your layout.

Also are there any interesting railway items to see. (prototype or model)

  7. Another explanation is that he purchased a new model but it sat in a box for over a year waiting for the layout to be ready. Then when he discovered it was not working the warranty had run out. I know, because that happened to me with a Hornby 08. Fortunately I was able to repair it myself.

  8. The ship docked at 1PM and all passengers were disembarked by 1:45PM (get off or else), the voucher advised us that our bus would not pick us up until 4pm and several phone calls to the Virgin "helpdesk" were useless in trying to get it rearranged earlier, it arrived at 3:45pm, getting us to Palma Airport at 4pm,

If it was only a 15 min bus ride to the airport, would a taxi have been possible?

  9. AH! but is it the "News of the World" or the "Irish News of the World" or the unique boxed set that contains both!!?

BTW, I snapped up a copy yesterday "Buy it Now" from my local newsagent for only € 1.45.
