  1. building in P4 |Edwardian era GWR, basing the model on the Falmouth branch which gives me the chance to build a couple of Brunel wooden viaducts. the first thing I have drawn in Fusion 360 are the cast iron viaduct baseplates for 3d printing, when you make your trip from Calgary, you should drop by if I've got anything built.
  2. sounds like a beautiful location for a break from the madness. the loft is going to be 35 x 12 so hopefully it is big enough.
  3. my wife and I love to go to Tofino, been a couple of times and need to go again one day. Calgary to Vancouver is a beautiful drive, especially if you go down the fraser highway, where the unfortunate Lytton is located. I'm hoping to get started on wood shop on my property, this fall which will have a full loft, to finally be able to build a model railway. every attempt in the last 40 years has been pushed aside by life.
  4. I live in the shuswap close to the lake and after doing farm chores, stayed inside after 9:30 am just wished we have AC!!. It was even too hot inside the office on the computer learning Fusion 360 for more than an hour, it sure was nice to work outside today's lower temps.
  5. unfortunately Lytton BC is now 90% gone, with most people loosing everything.
  6. wow you had me fooled for a while on this one, neat picture.
  7. The existing goods shed is the second one, the first being some distance, east of the viaduct, where the new station is. the original was closed in 1911, after opening the new goods yard. I am hoping to model this in the Edwardian period before the changes.
  8. i have read this website and it is very informative, but they don't have a drawing of the Brunel Chalet building on the down platform.
  9. I am currently doing a little research on Ivybridge, and am looking for information, on the original goods shed, and the Brunel station building. I have purchased several relevant books, but have found little information with which to be able to make a model, of either building. Any help would be much appreciated.
  10. can i ask which gear motors you are, i am starting a new layout from scratch and will be going with the Deltang control etc.
  11. thanks for the replies, I posted this, and then got very busy and forgot to check. Ivybridge details are what i was looking for, mainly for the signalling diagram, but also looking for information on the Brunel station building. I will check the Signalling record society. Middleton press are out of stock for the very book that could prove useful. I am building a workshop this spring and will have a good size loft to finally build a layout.
  12. I am looking for a listing, regarding which stations are covered, in each volume of the books, An Historical Survey of Selected Great Western Stations. specifically looking for stations from Somerset and Devon. Living in Canada precludes me from checking inside books for sale.
