I have to agree. When I took my lads we would go and find a chair or something for them to stand on. It was very difficult to keep picking them up as I have a bad back. Lower level layouts could be run with the operators sitting down, or higher level with a bench in front.

Needless to say none of my sons are into model railways, those that got into modelling went with Warhammer or military modelling. Which reminds me. I have a campaign to finish so I can conquer my youngest so...

My layout is low enough for wheelchair users and children to see hopefully; it's up to my hip and I'm only about 5 foot-5foot 1
