Well I don’t own an air fryer so my carrots are currently roasting on a top/bottom oven with fan setting as the main fan oven function is broken and trips the fuse. Cheat meal tonight, the shank of lamb is boiling in the steaming pan.

I guess they might only act if Dapol raise a complaint and ask them to investigate, just a Louis Vuitton would probably do when it spots unauthorised items for sale.

@martin_wynne so what I am hearing is that the speaking clock was actually a doomsday device to tell us the levels of radiation but in peacetime it simply read the current time.

Mrs W and I had the same discussion this morning about money being smoke and mirrors, but a return to barter probably isn’t in the cards. 😀

I was looking at an “air fryer” last week in Asda whilst Mrs W was selecting a toaster for her gluten free stuff. Unless my eyes deceived me, the fryer worked by passing an electric current through a coil of metal that would glow red creating heat. I might be wrong, but isn’t that what a grill does in an oven? So the replacement for an oven is to have your oven grill on top of a kitchen surface and be harder to keep clean? I guess the money saving element is that the actual element is smaller than on an oven.

All changing the status of ISAs will do is give the government more money to waste whilst impacting middle income earners and offering even less of an incentive for lower income people to even try saving any money.

I think younger people would have more respect and care for older people if said older people did step back from still trying to run the world after they retire. Like you mention, rigidity in thinking, resistance to change are not helpful in solving problems for the young. I look at the membership of certain political factions whose objective is to 'go back to how things were'. Their memberships seem to be at the older end of the spectrum and it's no wonder they are completely out of kilter with society in general. I read once that as teenagers we are all radical leftists because it spoke most to us about fairness and respect, but as we age we become more and more conservative in our views so it meant Labour attracted the young and Conservatives attracted the older generation. There has been a change somewhere because a lot of older people are now looking outside of the Conservative party, but it's telling that the polictics of said party is all about a return to the past and constant reminders of how the past was so great. I am guessing the other party now aiming to claim some more Conservative MPs is probably full of even more rigid thinkers who cannot see past their own nose. By all means remain active as a retiree, your life depends upon it, but don't cling to the past and try and maintain it.

Thing is he's not saying the ECML was used as a transmitter, in fact he is posing a question "Was the ECML used as a transmitter?" and then using his knowledge of radio to provide context as how it is typically done with masts, he then added American experiments and actual low to the ground transmitters that could signal around the world albeit with only short burst messages. So he never claimed the ECML was used and nor is he using any actual conspiracy theories to prove it, he simply said he'd heard of an urban legend and then made some logical inquiries to see if it was possible but the conclusion he came to was that he had no evidence to support it unless his subscribers had something else to add.

They were possibly waiting to see how aggressively Hornby went at the scale, which is possibly not as aggressive as Mr Kohler imagined. Spoilsport! However, there is little to match with a class 92 currently. A 31 and some Mk1 Suburbans or some of the Mk2 coaches would be a stronger contender for an opening gambit.

Thank goodness my tooth extraction that the private dentist couldn't perform has been picked up quickly by the NHS and I am booked in for the 16th April. Whilst it's not hurting, the remnant of the tooth doesn't taste nice and it's giving me smelly breath so out it needs to go.
