    Are the Mashima 5 pole skew wound. or do they make straight wound as well.

    I take it that all Bachmann are straight wound not skew as in Hornby, what is the difference.

    Yes I know Hornby make 5 pole motors so do Bachmann for there Diesels, I am referring to Bachmann 3 pole in there steam locos.

    Looking for photos of track maintenance gangs, machinery, wagons, in use during the 1960s on this line, I recall seeing them in the early 1960s on regular sunday workings.

    Thanks Robert, means stripping it down then, have some Moly Grease Molybdenum, or is this not conductive.

    Just received D369 motor is very noisey, oiled it and ran it in still the same, compared with D211 which is really quiet.

    Has anyone tried the sound version on DC Feedback, I doubt would work and probally damadge the sound decoder.

    To get back to the current bodyshell can anyone measure the depth from the cantrail as I want to compare with the old model, does not look much different, before purchase.

    Is it possible to fit the new body to the old chassis, if any body has tried this.

    Will be interesting to compare with the older model to measure the bodyside/nose depth, looks higher on the bogies than the old one will have to lower it.

    Researching this stretch of line at Baguley, can anyone show more pictures from same area

    Having lived in a house backing onto the line between Baguley and Northenden stations I am looking for photos of that stretch of line especially during the 50s/60s period.
