  1. Want to rewire my 8f and black 5s so there permantly wired up to the tender pick ups, like on the latest models, can this be explained how to do this will need a draw bar also.
  2. Yes well over due, I hope there going to release the original class 24 now its being re-tooled.
  3. Thanks for all the answers just as I expected they can be reverted back to the ones that are fitted to the coaches.
  4. Want to fit commonwealth bogies these latest replacements have the couplings fixed can these be cut out so as to keep the original swinging ones.
  5. LMS TPOs the old railroad version needs updating to a super detailed model to start with, and whats happened to the LMS Suburban not being made in BR lined livery surely a good seller.
  6. Why the demand for more outers, don't know why Bachmann are doing so few 20ft containers freightliner, hope these will be available as packs of three, I have asked Bachmann to produce these they say will monitor the demand so pester them for these.
  7. Might improve running but makes no improvement to couplers, they spring back one way but stick the other, must be something to do with the cam, will try some oil or grease, unless the plastic needs gently sanding.
  8. As to the Bachmann coaches recent releases I have purchased have nearly all had defects in them, the couplers will not self centre either on a few of them, don't remember any issues with the old ones I have, down to quality control or I am just unlucky, any cure to fix the self centre issue.

    XP64 D1733

Have the Bachmann model, what happened to this after its trial in 64 what region / services did it run, I presume it kept the same livery minus the red logo, and later painted BR rail blue, any pictures if possible circa 60s thanks.
  12. What rake formations of blue grey mk1s would be used on the LMR in the 60s, I believe the Bachmann FO is from the first batch with out centre doors and could be used as a RFO would this run next to a Resturant/Buffet or could it replace one.
  13. I would have thought D1733 would have been the exception as it was the original loco to haul this set, any one have photos of this in the 60s on the WCML.
  14. When used on the LMR 1965 Euston - Heysham would it be the same formation as used on the east coast route, would it sometimes include D1733 Class 47.
  15. Thanks for all the information, was the initial XP64 set lettered LMR I have only seen later pictures when numbered for Western Region, what type of bogies were used on the Mk1 vehicles were they B4 to match the rest.
  16. Bachmann Mk1 blue/grey coaches, looking for the earliest ones circa 66 would these have a mix of different bogies, and what Mk1 coaches would be added to the early XP 64 train.
  17. Has any one seen the book.
  18. Where do you order a copy from Kiderminster Museum don't post out orders any more, so unless you visit them where else can you obtain a copy, not seen any book sellers listing this unlike all his previous books, unless they will be distributed to sellers after 4th August.
  19. Will this be on sale from the retail trade or only purchased from SVR.
  20. Yes thanks I read this, will just have to wait not seen advertised by any dealers.
  21. When will this be released, SVR showing 4th Aug on there website, will it consist of colour rather than b&w photos as I think these are taken from his exhibition displayed there, and what will be the retail price.
  22. I will go with that, nice picture at Arpley thanks for all the constructive answers.
  23. Obviously not, got to 15 then there on a curve looks to be over 20 though but may be not as many as used on the east coast route.
  24. Were the ones used on the Widnes route LMR circa 64 built by Metro - Cammell.
