  1. I've painted the control desk and stuck them in the inspection saloon, inbetwwen that I've paut together a couple of the china clay and also made a start on a Dogfish Ballast hopper chassis. Michael
  2. I've done the mould earlier in the week and also now the castings, put some primer on them after the photo Michael
  3. Also now done the drivers desk for the inspection saloon, will get the mould done soon, my guess will have to be a 2 part one. I will check the photos to make sure haven't missed off anything. Michael
  4. Still trying to get back into the swing of things after Guildex (jobs really not helping at all). Have done more to the Flatrol, once I’ve put a bit of paint on the floor and added the pipes I’ve done Michael
  5. I've no idea what Colin done to the moulds when the masters were the same length. Was it the Boiler barrel that you used by chance? Michael
  6. For the O gauge there's a fair bit more for the steam BR Std class 4 tank, Std class 4 2-6-0, Britannia, 9F (poss inc Crosti) - Looks like Colin planned the Std class 3 tank SR Q, Q1, West Country/BoB - both original and rebuilt - Colin had done some moulds including parts for the School LMS Ivatt class 2 2-6-0 and the tank version, 5MT and 8F - think Colin planned a streamlined Duchess LNER A4, J15 and E4 - Looks like Colin had planned a B1, B12 and A3 GWR Colin had planned a Castle WD 2-8-0 and 2-10-0 Can't think of any other O gauge steam but had seen a smokebox door in Gauge 1 Michael
  7. We shall be at the Worthing MRC annual exhibition with our Test track 1st and 2nd October. Feel free to bring a loco along, I've been told a DCC controller will be available for use Michael
  8. Drawings would be a stumbling block (not diagrams) Michael
  9. I only produce the 1st Generation DMU, I've still to finish building a 156 (now my kit) had to do a fair bit to it. Michael
  10. One finished unit, took it for delivery at Guildex to discover the motor bogie bracket solder joint had come undone so had to find someone to resolder it. Michael
  11. Numbers applied to the 104 Michael
  12. Got the bogies back from the caster for the 304, had time to make 1 pair of each, fitted most of the seats. Found had miscounted and totally forgot the motor coach 3's plus 2's Michael
  13. Been so very busy and what with my job going from bad to worse hasn’t helped. Once Guildex is over with will do the drawing for the areas required of the Fruit D Michael
  14. I’ve done the lining for the 104 and put the numbers on the NSE inspection saloon Michael
  15. I've the 104 with some paint on it, next job for that is the lining
  16. We’ve been securing the ends of our S7 tracks recently with screws. So when they’re stored they now won’t move Michael
  17. I’ve done the moulds and done a couple of castings of each, just filling in a few air bubbles. For some reason a couple of the motor bogie sides came out a different length. Michael
  18. I've put the bogie sides into plasticine to make it a 2 part mould. Once I've made a pair of resin copies I'll send away to be properly cast in whitemetal along with the other bits. I'll cast a couple more bogie sides as these will be my display ones. Michael
  19. There is for English Electric over 650 boxes of rolls of drawings with some locos/units that you wouldn't expect. When I've been looking through the list of the boxes most of the description was just Mechanical parts, so had no idea what's in them. Found out lots of foreign locos/units and industrial locos. What I didn't know was the contract number for the 55's, looked in a book about the Deltics and found out the Deltic was contract 6B2000, Class 23 Baby Deltic was CCF0875 and the 55's was CCK0980. Wish I knew what some of the other contract numbers was, so when had made notes could of passed the info on the Search engine team. For example I looked through the NBL list of the boxes and then picked some of the ones of interest and gave them an idea what was in there and they didn't realise that some of the drawings for 10800 was in there. It might be worth asking the HMRS as they've some of the Derby loco works drawings for the BR diesels (50's possibly 60's as well) Michael
  20. Now that near finished the Bogie masters, which took longer than I thought. I've been making the tables for the inspection saloon Michael
  21. Also the NRM might have them, bad news they’re not fully catalogued and there’s a lot of the English Electric to look through. When I have been looking through the list I haven’t been looking for the type 5 http://archives.sciencemuseumgroup.ac.uk/Details/archiverail/110066010 It’s under GEC2/2/2/ etc Michael
  22. I’ve been making some of the other parts for the bogies and believe almost there at last with them. Annoyingly one of the rivets had come off on the end stretcher but least easy fix Michael Inserted a clearer pic
  23. I've ordered larger rivets and after removing my previous attempt, resprayed gloss varnish again. Had to look around for someone to sell these in the UK I've also glued the roof vents on for the 104 Michael
  24. The rivets are on both the trailer and motor and sprayed with Matt varnish but now feel they’re too small. Here’s my photo of a Gresley bogie
  25. I’ve applied theArcher rivets to the trailer bogie, I’m hoping they look the right size Michael
