  1. Currently just putting FS onto our train at Carnforth and confirmed running on S&C this afternoon.
  2. WCME is currently rerouted and retimed. 1Z87 departs Carlisle 15.51 running down WCML, loco change at Carnforth scheduled at 17.04 - 18.02. This may still change, understand a path across S&C is trying to be worked out.
  3. Just confirmed by RTC that the Flying Scotsman will be used tomorrow on the Cumbrian Mountain Express.
  4. 4E26 normally runs all the way to Carlton loop, then gets held for around 40 minutes. The HST service mentioned would probably have been 1B84 which calls at Grantham and terminates at Newark.
  5. 56113 running round a Railvac unit that it and class mate 56302 had just delivered into Doncaster Decoy up yard this morning.
  6. A quick visit to Doncaster Decoy this morning looking for 66741, my final Bluebird cop, which after some hunting eventually found it hiding at the rear of Roberts Road depot and virtually unphotographable. 66757 66735 66735, 66707, 66743, 66750, 66717 and 66730
  7. Just finished a commission of 66711 which is destined for a new quarry based layout that should be seen on the exhibition circuit soon. Finished using Railmatch and Humbrol paints, Precision and Fox decals.
  8. The main reason we don't see 60's on these workings is because GBRf don't have any I think all the Drax Biomass is worked by GBRf isn't it ?.
  9. When I first read the start of this post this afternoon I got quite excited and started wondering what funds I could divert to buy a rake, then the link to Hattons came out. As the Dragons say "I'm out".
  10. A rather dirty 57306 working 5Z14, a single OGA MK3 coach, Norwich to Doncaster Works, crossing the Welney Washes at Pymore on 7th January 2016.
  11. 66739 working 6E84 Middleton Towers - Monk Bretton crossing over the Welney Washes at Pymore, 7th January 2016.
  12. On the same working as above, I managed to capture 73698 as it came into Doncaster Decoy RMT for a Driver change.
  13. Spent a couple of hours at Doncaster yesterday, unfortunately in really murky conditions. 66744 bringing out the Decoy - Toton daily engineers train Freight liner 66567 with 66750 and 66748 in the background. Having handed its train over to 66750, 66744 runs back into South Decoy yard. 66414 waiting to depart the Freightliner terminal. 66769 at EMD Roberts Road depot.
  14. Andy, yes they are both VItrains, they where straight out the box this evening, just fitted Decoders and gave them a run, they do indeed require weathering, one needs renumbering and all the detail packs fitting to both loco's.
  15. Here is a close upon the glazing, looks to have retained a glass centre panel, certainly different to its two sister loco's.
  16. Managed to catch 73968 today at Clay Cross South junction, on a Test run from Doncaster to Derby via Loughborough running as 0Z74.
  17. Finally got around to finishing my WBB Minerals Sand hoppers, well at least 20 for now. They will not win the most accurate model wagon Trophy of the year but overall they capture the PAA's pretty well. Out on their first working on Linfit, 66720 heads them from Middleton Towers to Barnby Dunn glass works.
  18. No I actually done the Cantrail lining with a paint pen and steel rule, a breath holding moment.
  19. Heljan O gauge Colas 60 finished. So pleased with it I have decided to sell it and do another one.
  20. Colas 60 finished. Really pleased how it has turned out, especially as it is my first ever o gauge repaint. I found it very different to my usual OO repaints, much easier in some respects, such as masking etc but then no room for error in other areas due to the size and scale everything has to be spot on. Finished using Precision paints and Railtec decals.
  21. Yes, plan on doing it as 60095.
  22. Hi Marcus, Funny you should ask about the stripping, it was a Loadhaul liveried machine and nothing would touch the factory finish, I tried Super Strip which normally strips anything and that had no effect, I then tried an overnight soak in Brake fluid and that also didn't touch the finish. In the end I just flatted down all the livery and then primed over the top of it with Halfords grey primer.
  23. When I saw the Heljan O gauge 60, I just had to have one, stunning model, my first venture into O gauge, it could become addictive, I love the detail and finding this project so much easier to work on than OO, having said that there is no room for error that you can sometimes hide on a OO repaint. Anyway here is my Heljan 60, just finished in the paint shop, waiting on being reassembled, decals applied and an infamous driver added to the cab.
