I was reading a book called 'The Newton Abbot to Kingswear Railway' and look at what I've just come across, the same locomotive that's currently visiting the line....
The L94 locomotive was in operation today which came as a surprise. I was in Dartmouth when I saw it across the river, leaving Kingswear station, so I was not able to get some photos in time. Hopefully I'll see it tomorrow
I am staying in a holiday apartment in Kingswear that is directly opposite the station. I can see all trains coming in/out. I have been here for a week so far and I've not seen the blue King being in service yet. I've seen it sitting in the shed at Paignton station so I'm curious when it will be in service.....
While on the subject of Midland Metro, here's a BBC report of an accident between one of the new trams (No 26) and a car...

I'm actually in Kingswear at the moment on holiday and the station is right in front of my holiday apartment. I get to see this locomotive every day and its a beauty! But to have a foot plate trip, lucky you!
Your layout is looking good! Keeping my eye on it. You purchased a Dremel to cut the tracks. Can I ask which model did you get? I'm looking for something to cut tracks myself!
Thanks P.S. Keep up with your work!
Your layout is superb!
I got to see it in the flesh on Saturday at Telford and I got to say it was worth driving all the way from Reading and back just to get to see your layout! I hope to see it again, and I will continue to keep my eye out for your photos etc
Using the google search images does come up with several pictures of the panniers on the quay - like this one:

Hopefully someone will have more similar photos
