View Advert Merseyrail class 507/508 current day style bodies . Today Monday 23rd January 2023 we had the first introduction in passenger carrying service of the new Stadler class 777 Merseyrail electric multiple units designed to replace the ageing class 507/508 emu’s. The first unit has ran today carrying passengers the mayor and members of the press. Sadly very shortly we will see the gradual demise of the class 507/508 units that have ran on the Merseyrail network for over 42 years from brand new. Hopefully some will be preserved once they are all withdrawn, and I’m sure they will be sorely missed. The version in the photos is the current style headlights that the units have had since 2004 to present day these are round and painted with a black oval around them on the real thing. i also can supply these with the original headlight style and the midlife refurbished style headlight that has the raised square high intensity headlight. All other parts are available to complete such as etched nickel silver window frames, floors, bogie sideframes and underframe components. Electra railway graphics do liveried vinyl overlays designed to perfectly fit my bodies in some of the Merseyrail liveries. The price is £30 per body. These are 3d printed in high definition uv cured grey resin. Hi, no email has come through.

I joined Rmweb premium just over a month ago mainly to place classified ads and suddenly when I tried to renew an expired ad a pop up appeared saying Are you sure?, An invoice will be generated and the advert will be available as soon as the payment has been recognised. Has anyone noticed that the cab side windows are missing the window frame?, also on the real thing the cab side window glass looks to curve in 2 directions, where Hornby has done the glass flat.

Does anyone know if the East Midlands Trains version 31-518 is supposed to come with the cet toilet retention tanks?, the other two versions Regional railways and gwr have them but none on this model. Also I tested the working bsi couplings and when gently pulling the units apart one broke from inside, they are just a plastic rod inside so I think this will be a problem with these.

A really good filler to use is Holts cataloy putty, they sell it in Halfords and other places and it is very cheap, it’s nice and sticky when you put it on and best of all it stands easily and does not crack or shrink back.

They don't do weathering or sound fitting.

Is there any easy way of removing the side glazing from the Bachmann class 158 without breaking or damaging it?, I am looking at respraying a few into the current Northern rail livery.
