    A couple of weeks ago a Leeds bound (heavily delayed 110mins) VTEC service closed the buffet and First Class offer at Newark, while CrossCountry closed the buffet on a Glasgow bound train at Berwick... Am I right in thinking that back in 1993 Leeds-London was part of the 'Intercity Shuttle' service and the buffet would be open prior to departure and stay open until arrival at destination? Without getting into the private/public ownership debate the Intercity Shuttle concept seems so much better than what we have today. (Edit for spelling)

    Presumably the class 59 and class 121 moving into railroad means the 66 and 101 will be moving there to when next released.

    Maybe the 'Big' announcement will be Oxford Rail products coming into the Hornby stable similar to the Dapol tools becoming Hornby 20 years ago.

    Hi everyone, sorry if this is slightly random, I was travelling on a TPE service on Friday and spotted a Scotrail 318 south of Northallerton (it was I believe in a siding?) I'm curious what it would be doing so far from home in rural North Yorkshire. Many thanks in advance. Matt

    I was just surprised it is even still in existence over 25 years after the wires reached Edinburgh, and appears relatively complete.

    The East Coast's wiring train is abandoned in a siding just south of Edinburgh, I think it even has the wiring drum wagons still coupled to the coaches....

    If Hornby are interested in marking relatively recent historic anniversaries lets not forget in March it's 20 years since the start of Virgin on the West Coast so maybe a set with a 90, Mk3s and DVT.

    I've just read the latest Engine Shed and Hornby have confirmed the ledge on the tender won't be there on the final production model and the CADs have been altered to remove it - Hornby also say they couldn't alter the sample in time for Warley. Hope this info was helpful, if not I apologise.

    My has USA arrived and had it's legs stretched, can I just a massive Thank You to dibber25 and everyone at Model Rail for this cheeky little engine How it justifies being on either my North Eastern region or Great Western layouts I don't know Ps, if Model Rail do another USA bulit engine put me down for an S160 please
