  1. Strange that, as my local model shop Bachmann rep to him that the 47's will be delivered thru August in smaller batches, so folk didn't have to shell out lots of money in one go. Just goes to show that not everything you hear is right.
  2. At last I've managed to fit the snow ploughs to one end of the new Bachmann 37 37422. What a difficult job this was. I've had to modify the snow plough and fix it to the buffer beam using a couple of pieces of brass rod. I'm pleased with the end result but it would have been much simpler if Bachmann had designed the fitting of the snow plough to both the bogie (via the NEM pocket) as well as a fixed installation to the buffer beam. I dislike the fitting of the plough to the NEM pocket, it looks strange when the snow plough moves around when the loco goes round a curve.
  3. Chris (Gilbert), the spigot on these has a slight curve to the inside of the spigot. This fits into the corner behind the buffer beam and the buffer housing on the outside of the buffer housing. Suggest a dry run first so you get the idea of how it fits. And it's doesn't foul the bogie if you get it in the right position. Suggest you assembly the ETH cable fitting, cable plug and cable first, but be very careful as the cable is delicate and may break. I broke one of mine, unfortunately, but managed to repair it with a little dab of liquid cement.
  4. I have just had to do a video of the large logo 37 Cwmbran together with the DRS MkIIf coaches. Yes I know the loco and coaches are not a match really and the rake of coaches is not quite right, but this brings back memories of the class 37's on the Cumbrian cost runs between Preston/Barrow and Carlisle a few years ago. I travelled on these trains a number of times while staying on the Ravenglass caravan site. You could hear the 37's from the site, an unmistakable sound. Here's a video of the train. Would be better if the loco was Stephen Middlemore, Isle of Mull or Mary Queen of Scots (fingers crossed for the announcements next week). And for the Accurascale model limited edition.
  5. No I haven't changed anything, straight out of the box. Sounds really good, especially the failed start.
  6. Yes I have. Look in the Accurascale section regarding the PCA cement wagons, my video is there. It's the EWS 37pulling a rake of Castle Cement wagons.
  7. You just get 10 out of 10, that's all. No need for a trip to Specsavers either.
  8. Hi Fran, It's a Zimo MS450 decoder, so that probably tells you it's the new Bachmann 37, but I think you knew that. I'm guessing that your 37 will be mighty, so can't wait until October to get one and see and hear what it's like in the flesh, as it were. I have 8 of them on order, all bar one with sound, 5 with you and 3 with Rails. So, roll on October and December.
  9. I've just finished added a further 6 off Castle Cement wagons to my original rake of 15 off. These have CIAB markings to the ends of the tanks to differentiate them from the original ones. Can you spot them in the video below, as the train passes the depot on my layout.
  10. I agree, the way the loco sits on the bogies is excellent, the only thing I'm disappointed in is the snow ploughs. I've also purchased 37422. The running quality, with the Zimo decoder is so much better than the Accurascale Deltic out of the box.
  11. Chassis, they do look good. The detail on the fuel tanks is excellent.
  12. It goes on the end of one of the fuel tanks. Check the ends of both fuel tanks, as one of them will have this bit still in place.
  13. Thanks Steve, Would try but have no DC equipment, so not able to try.
  14. Yes they are both factory fitted sound decoders. By the way, no sound turned on.
  15. Yes! I run DCC and have a volt/ammeter fitted to check things (DCC Concepts). Without a loco running the power consumed is around 1.45 amps. Deltic 55002, when running, consumes around 0.2 amps, so the meter reads around 1.65 amps. If I run D9009 the meter goes up to around 2.2 amps, meaning this loco pulls 0.75 amps. I've also noticed that the speeds are very much different at the same speed setting. D9009 will very quickly catch 55002 up when the speed set setting is around 50. Note sure why this is, but is more than likely down to the motor in some way.
  16. Looks like I was wrong with this. The mechanism is missing because it should be there anyway. After a little research and advise from Bachmann themselves.
  17. As anyone noted that the brake mechanism is missing from the underside centre of the coach. I've got both NR and DRS liveried DBSO's and both are the same. I've checked back on previous MKIIF BSO coaches and the mechanism is there. Looks like an email to Bachmann service to see if they have this molding in stock.
  18. Having fitted buffer beam pipework on both 55002 and D9009, these are the best renditions of pipework etc. on any loco. All pipes fitted well and being able to remove the buffer beam to fit the pipes etc. it made it very easy. Well don Accurascale.
  19. As per Fran's request, here's a short video on D9009 Alycidon on Northern Belle rail tour.
  20. I've got the Network Rail one and was a little disappointed that the pipes were plain black. On all previous purchases of Mk2F coaches they have all been painted. For the price you would think Bachmann would have had them painted, for the cost of a dab of red and yellow paint.
  21. Hi Jake, Yes I got two emails on Saturday, but no tracking number advised. Tony.
  22. I've received an email to say mine's been despatched via Parcel Force. Hopefully should arrive Monday/Tuesday.
  23. Sold out, but they are a great coach, although expensive.
  24. Just off to fetch mine from Tennents Trains. Will check to see if there's any stock for sale and report back.
  25. Short HYA's behind CEMEX liveried Hatton's class 66.
