Yes they are.

Is it RTR or kit-built?
Also, it would look better if you fitted Markits wheels and wiggly wires...
The Elans were available as kits but the Plus 2 was only available RTR!
The wheels are like Markits, they have one centre nut (spinner) which if not tightened properly fall off!

On a similar note regarding ‘armchair experts’. Once when I was showing at a classic car show a bloke told his young that my car was a Ferrari, I wish. It’s actually a Lotus and is badged accordingly. I just let it pass, I couldn’t be bothered. I think sometimes it’s a good job I don’t hear some of the comments at exhibitions.

Happy Birthday Stewart, I bet it’s not been like last years and hopefully it won’t be like next years. Anyway hope you’ve made the best of it.
Is it me or has there been a lot of celebrations/birthdays recently?
Not much of a day here. Catching up on some paperwork. Was hoping to get toolbox out but paperwork hogged the day and by the time I’d done enough mojo had left the building. Always tomorrow I suppose until something crops up to spoil it.
I had a garden railway at my last house but most of the stock was of the cheaper type. I moved house and intend(ed) to build another. Sold off the cheaper stock and replaced it with something better but haven’t so far got round to building a railway to run it on. It’s only been 16years!
Goodnight and lets keep the black dogs at bay,
Robert

I only want to explain and don’t want to upset anyone but putting my pharmacy hat on for a moment I’ll try to explain a little regarding supply issues of prescription medication.
At the moment there are SEVERE shortages of some medicines that are life saving. To give you an example one type of inhaler is in such short supply that I don’t order what I want/need for my patients, I get what I’m given (allowed to purchase) and am made to feel grateful. Now if I have Mrs Bloggs coming in with a prescription for two of these inhalers and I have two in stock, do I give her them both or do I save one for someone else? In fact it may not be quite as simple as that, what if I have one owing to Mrs Miggins and one to Father Edward? Who gets the inhalers now. Perhaps I should save them for the ‘owing’ patients, but perhaps they built up a stock and don’t really need them at all, so Mrs Miggins, who may be desperate does get one.
This is the sort of issues that are causing concern to me, who gets what and it shouldn’t be part of my job.
Dont want to scare monger,it’s only a few drugs but it does matter if you need them.
Anyway, All enjoy the rest of the day.
regards ROBERT.

Happy birthday Kingsance, I hope you made something of it. If nothing else it will be one to remember.(for all the wrong reasons).
Finally got new tyres for SHMBOs car. Order tyres last week then realised there was no locking wheelnut key in the tool set that came with the car. Car’s only 18month old and wheels have never been off the car so must have not been there when we bought it. Had to make an appointment to go to Leeds to get Skeleton key to remove security nut but when we got there they didn’t have one so had to make a second journey. Anyway all sorted now, only taken a week.
Not been to work for a week now as things have settled down to ‘normal’. Only thing is the amount of paperwork that has mounted up and I can’t be bothered with it. Really must get my finger out tomorrow and get some done.
Going to finish my coffee and then bed. Early start with book work (?)
Regards Robert.ps Can’t stand the smell of kippers but do like a good fry up for breakfast, gluten free of course.

Can’t sleep tonight. Some work going on on railway which is a bit odd as they usually send us a letter saying what to expect. As I can’t sleep ought to go and have a look but can’t be bothered. Sounds interesting, lots of tooting and clanking etc. Raining now so really really can’t be bothered. SWMBO got bedside light on reading so may as well look around here. Anyway goodnight or should I say good morning, I don’t know and does it really matter, does anything?

I know some people have genuine reason to miss the 8pm event and I do know that down most streets there’s a great turnout. In my street there’s about 25 houses and only two households take part which I think is less than average. I’ve lived here for 15 years and am still considered a newby so do know most of my neighbours and their life work balance. I was once at my bother in laws for an earlier event and I think every household on his street came out.
That is why I’m disappointed.

Out again with my bucket, again only me out, so this time I walked down my street banging away. Few came out to clap. Actually many have scared some of them off as I was in my dressing gown and looking a bit like Arthur Dent! (I’ve had a bad day at work and had just had a bath.) What is the matter with some people, some are knowingly putting themselves in danger (lack of PPE) to help others and some can’t even come out to clap for a couple of minutes once a week. Shame on them.
Rant over
Few more out tonight but think that may be due to the fact that an ambulance was parked in the middle of our street. Hope they came out out clapping out of respect for the NHS staff rather than see who was going to be the next victim.
Anyway I was out regardless.- 1

Like Chrisf this weekend should have been one of the highlights of the year for me. I usually go to Intermodelbau in Dortmund and then have a week relaxing somewhere like Winterburg or somewhere on the Rhine. It reminds me of my first chance to go, about ten years ago. I was sat at home, bags packed and waiting to go to the airport when I got a phone call from my mum who said have you seen the news. Volcano eruption in Iceland all flights cancelled. Couldn’t believe it.
Anyway this years event has been rescheduled for August but I’m but holding my breath or booking anything.
Regards
Robert

Serious question now. How do I make contribution, do you have a dedicated page of do we just do to the charities own site and make a contribution there?
Regards ROBERT -
I know it’s not the right thread but I’m with friends here so I’m going to ask a silly question. How/where do you get a ticket/make a donation for tomorrow’s virtual show? Do you just go to the charities own website and make a donation there?
Goodnight,
Robert

Andy and team,
good look with the show, I hope you make a plenty of money for the good cause. I should have been in Dortmund for Intermodelmodelbau so you boys putting on the virtual show will be a good substitute.

Robert

We'll also need a sanity clause.
Now that would be expensive!

Has anyone sorted the insurance out and will it need an interruption in business clause in just in case the event has to be cancelled? As a treasurer I know this kind of thing can be expensive!

Quick, straighten the shed in the top picture before Tony W sees it!
Regards ROBERTGilbert, sorry for the jibe, it shows my ignorance and I should have known better(and but my glasses on). I must admit that when I’ve noticed fogmens huts they’ve always be in the upright position but when I’m looking at photos it’s the stock I’m usually interested in.
By the way, what’s the reason for angling them down?
Since apologies,
Robert

No. It is exactly as it should be. It is a fogman's hut, not in use except in fog and falling snow.
Now I’ve got my glasses on I can see a bracket that it’s resting on. I admit never seen one in that position before.
Early Risers.

Should just have worked half day at work but manager rang in mid morning with son not well, so needed afternoon off. Hence full day for me. Other issues plagued my day but can’t be bothered recounting them. Just want to go to bed,
Goodnight,
Robert
