Cheers Mike let me know what you think, I’ve used something a little different this time for the oil stains 😉

The track looks very good Paul. I'm looking forward to seeing it ballasted.
Regards Lez.
Thanks Lez, me to I can’t wait to do some weathering.

At last some more progress today! The approach to the junction has had the droppers soldered into position and I’ve given the rail two coats of ‘Rusty Rails’. I know there is still lots to do but I need more rail and chairs so I’m going to ballast and weather this section and do a ‘how to’ video.
I’ve also made a start re-gauging the cl20

I have just found this thread and I am very interested in track building, so shall watch your progress with interest
Thank you John, your track building has been an inspiration though and such a help when I first started out. As you probably know though each time we build track we learn something new or find a way of improving it.
Thanks again

Heljan O gauge cl37 dcc sound fitted
Hi I have a Heljan O gauge cl37 for sale, it is weathered to a professional standard by myself and is also Dcc sound fitted (I did not fit the sound) with Legomanbiffo Wensleydale sound file. Body retaining screws are missing but I may have spares, it is also not in its original packaging.
Offers around £850 but please don’t hesitate to discuss or ask further questions. Only selling as I have returned to EM gauge.
Many thanks
Paul

Managed to get a lot more done than I expected today, but not sure when I’ll get more modelling time as I’m back playing with the real thing tomorrow on lates, also I’m also running out of rail and chairs 🙄 but if I can get the two sections of track down at the none junction end of the board I’ll ballast and weather it and do a ‘how to’ at the same time.

Threading chairs, 70 to be precise, in readiness for the next track laying opportunity, it just makes things far quicker!
I know what the numbers mean 😂Paul

You're not alone with Templot mate I have real trouble with it. I'm gonna need a left hand double junction myself in the not to distant future and I'm absolutely dreading it. I've just about managed to do a B8 but I had real problems as I have zero CAD skills to start with and whilst you don't need CAD skills to use Templot I find the whole thing confusing to say the least.
Regards Lez.
I really struggled with it for about three years then it just clicked, if you need a hand let me know, I’m ok with the basics etc bus should be ok with a double junction 👍🏼

I'm loving the curved diamond Paul. Very nice mate!
Regards Lez.
Thank you Lez I’m made up with it to as I was the one thing I thought let my original ELJ down slightly as the diamond was straight across the other line (I hadn’t mastered Templot back then so used C&L templates) and a stager diamond was an absolute nightmare to get right.
Thanks againPaul

Yes mate but you will need to use a disc of metal behind the wheel so as not to distort the wheel or pull the tyre off. Steel would be best but brass would do.
Regards Lez.
That’s great thanks Lez

Well you might ask!
Other than a vague idea of what I want to finish up with there isn't a plan, I just makes it up as I goes along!
I didn't think I could incorporate ELJ into Wibdenshaw, but as it's too good to go to waste I had a good hard thunk about it.
I've moved the outer exit track from the centre of the board to the edge, cut away part of the baseboard I had already built, shortened ELJ a bit as you can see and let it into the board, it will need packing a bit as I am using 15mm ply to withstand Spanish conditions, but no great issues.
Now to work out what the heck I'm going to do about actually connecting all these tracks up.
Watch this space, or more specifically watch emgauge70's.
Mike,
Nice one I’m to pleased it will be part of such an excellent layout 😃👍🏼
