Receive my class 31 on the 14th of this month they have repaired the PCB which is great but the lights and fan Which are as designed which I do not agree! Opening the box They have snapped off the infrared light which I’ve now got repair myself, i’m pretty disappointed with only Hornby repair because I’ve also got 31233 and that works perfectly with no issues in the fan works and motor works perfectly, time now to find a reasonable price, which are hard to find!

I’ve only just open this model from Hornby, as described on a above post my model also have the same issues plus a fractured capacitor, I’m having to send my model way for repair, unfortunately I don’t have the receipt, so this could be costly, the service rep said that the model that I have got is now obsolete and now uses a new chassis.

Well after I fitted the sound chip, the next day I manage to stupidly loco left the layout on landed on the floor, so it's going into the works for repair! The smoke box handrail and buffer beam step broken off! You can imagine what sort of words I might have said!

Just fitted a sound chip from Howes Models to my dock tank, just running in at the mo. But it does look like I need to fit a 'stay alive' to the decoder. There isn't much room so I have to but the chip and speaker in the Cab. Any one else fitted a sound chip?

Two nights on the trott for an update!!!! so a parcel arrived this is what came. Untitled by Rory Capell, on Flickr On a bonus side this misus have brought me class 43 TTS sound chip x 2 from Rails of sheffield. They may not be perfect but for a TMD layout it gives all the sound you need. i have temporaillary fitted it to 43013 which is the dummy car, has for the motorised one it need more time needed!!!!

Hopefully Mick! Now and again locos will need an exam! Can't wait to get it finished tho,

Finally an update with Sutton Bridge Junction!!! The Track electrics have finish plus all the points motors and accessory decoders fitted, one or two point motors are not playing right so adjustment is needed. here are some pictures of the layout so far, i am ready to ballast the track but i need to do test run because i havent done it in along time. I'm going to used ballast magic to lay the ballast. The only thing im not going to buy is anymore class 37s i have 5 now, 97303,402,405,409,421 and D6707. Hi everyone! I've managed to put in a full day on the layout! Fitted about 1/3 of the points motor and wire loom I've also managed to test the layout by running 37409. Still alot to do tho.
