  1. Doesn't it just!! Amazing.. Might just have to pick up a copy!
  2. While I totally agree.. Scalescenes deliver all their kits via PDF without issues, I think they put your name as a mark on the print? That said, doing a screen grab, sizing correctly and printing isn't difficult to do.
  3. The roof is on, it's had a couple of coats of paint to protect it. The electrician has done is round of wiring so I could get the floor down and he should be coming back on Tuesday. Still more to do.. But it's not far away now. I was out there till 8.30 last night trying to get finished!!
  4. Station is looking smart.. Hope you found some time for some train rides in Wales, they have some real crackers.
  5. Good tip on the low roof siphon. I picked up a couple on ebay, one metal one plastic, I was also surprised that there were two designs. The plastic one is a non-runner as it also pivots on the centre axle. They used top hat bearings so I've got quite a lot of fettering to do.
  6. I'm sure I can see the 2017 edition there....
  7. Doesn't appear to have made it to the digital release yet! Very odd.
  8. Certainly should be... Plan was to complete the roof today, but rain is going to stop play.. Looks nice for tomorrow, so I'll just have to wait. I can't get the floor down until the electrician has done his thing, which is actually even more annoying than the roof!
  9. It is very insulated.. The logs are not what they seem. They are a sandwich of wood and then foam insulation and then more wood, they call it a warmlog. Then the floor is insulated and the roof the same. The doors and windows are also double glazed. One big cozy box, I hope. Time will tell when I am working in the winter out there.
  10. Thanks, I blinked and missed a couple of pages. That is a very nice jig!
  11. Under frames are looking smart! Where did the buffers and bogies come from? Or did I miss a post back there somewhere?
  12. The build is progressing, it's been interesting as these things always are.. Firstly the old one came down.. Then into a big pile of rubbish on the drive.. Then someone filled my garage with lots and lots of bits! And the new one starts to come together.. This is classic, it looks finished building. As the tarpaulin shows the roof isn't completed, I need to paint it with 2 coats, I need an electrician to do some magic and oh, there is no floor yet.. Modelling has obviously taken a back step. But I have been painting up a few kits I've had waiting for a quiet moment, so when I'm sorted they shouldn't take much effort to get running.
  13. Nice work there! I'm looking forward to your next running videos.
  14. The video is very good. The sound from camera surprised me, some good pickup and good base. Slight squint and you could be at a real railway. Makes me want to convert a 00 one...
  15. Sounds like it! Long way around. Open on the iPhone, add to a watch list in youtube. Then you open the youtube app on the iPad and it's in the list.
  16. Click the link in the top left to open in YouTube. Then you can
  17. It's convenience for me. I often get 10mins here and there to read, with the digital editions it's there, ready for me. I've 3 devices that normally have the latest magazine sync'd too. If I had a paper copy, it's never where I want it.
  18. Really enjoying the digital edition. Looks really smart on my screen and the extra content is now much more worth while. If you could start having a catalogue of articles, that would be the icing on the cake!
  19. It's more that the layout is on one self-contained board. So easy to setup, it's also not been run for a while as I've been building the branch. I'd worry about the wind blowing the trucks off the track in this country. My slate wagons don't weigh much!
  20. Really enjoyed the short video. Something about steam sounds, sun shine and big 7mm stock! I should get my 009 in the garden at some point.
  21. I did the something similar with my DCC staging yard. The foam at the end is ideal with DCC locos, when you are going a little faster than you realised and the inertia of the loco is higher than you realise. I've a Prairie that's really nice with the B set on. But run light, or with a couple of trucks and with less weight it tends to run into the foam quite regularly!
  22. Does look great in the sunshine... Just add a little track over the crossing, onto another board and off around the garden!
  23. Thanks!! I remember them, should have bought some when I saw them...
  24. That's looking very good, some nice wood work there. Will really help the operating as you can hold all the stock without keep picking it up.. Where did the trestles legs come from?
  25. Yike Andy, just been catching up. You take it easy, enjoy the nicer weather this week and put your feet up.
