G'Day Folks Thank you all for your words of encouragement. The fiddle yard has been pulled up and the buildings packed away, not sure what's happening next, we'll have to play it by ear, but at 70 (pushing 71) I'll have to act fairly fast. The next layout (if it happens) will be 'Holme', just south of Peterborough including the Ramsey branch, should make it interesting. manna

G'Day Folks The day had to come, with a rail hating wife, Edgware is now closed. The stock has been packed away, the workbench to has been shutdown and demolition will start shortly, I'm not saying this is the end of my modelling life, I won't be closing this thread, it may well reopen again in a year or two, once the opposition has been dealt with ! Also I will still be around, although in a reduced capacity. manna
  3. G'day Chas I use a piece of MDF, cut to shape, for wagons then covered on coal and glue, fairly flat though but after a wagon has run 20 miles or so the coal always seems to flatten out. manna
  4. G'Day Folks I would say the protection siding goes down, same as the bank. Interesting loco to, IIRC, a Fowler 2-6-4T, a couple ran on loan for a year or two in the 50's manna
  5. G'Day Folks Disagree, a good pic. Look at the way the light comes through the wheels and the cab, don't often see that. manna
  6. G'Day Folks It may not be what your expecting ?.......................Kings Cross in 14 inches ? manna
  7. G'Day Folks A few more. Brake Third. All Third, but clean. First/Third semi corridor. Finally a NER Luggage Third. Curtesy of Chris P Bacon, who supplied the body, scratch chassis. manna

G'Day Folks Double headed N2's today, I'm told it did happen, 4744, needs renumbering and both need weathering. manna
  9. G'Day Folks Great pictures, but isn't it hard working around a layout ? manna
  10. G'day Folks I have a collection of LNER stock, mostly Ian Kirk. First one is a Push Pull driving trailer, followed by an all 3rd. Then a all 3rd twin. Followed by a 1st3rd. More to follow manna
