  1. G'day Folks I have a 'Layout of a Lifetime' which I tried to build but 13ft wasn't enough, 'Holme' just south of Peterborough, and I included the Ramsey branch as well, I'm sure 30ft would be enough, maybe 'one day'. Terry (aka manna)
  2. G'Day Folks As you say, but a Great pic from an unusual angle, one we've not seen before. Thumbs Up. manna
  3. G'Day Folks 'A Bit to bright'...............No, I remember to sun coming out once at Peterborough, would have been about 1973, didn't last long though. manna
  4. G'Day Folks I could do with a little help, I need some chassis spacers, ( as seen below), are they still available, if so where ! Living in Oz can have it's drawbacks. I haven't seen any for sale for many years, and those that I do have, I've had for 50 years. Thanks in advance to everyone who can point me in the right direction. Terry. (aka manna)
  5. G'Day Folks I would say the wooden fence had rotted away, and not been replaced, but the sides had been raised with a couple of rows of bricks. manna
  6. G'Day Folks I always kinda liked the look of the 'squashed' cab, it didn't last very long. manna
  7. G'Day Folks Rereading the last few posts, I noticed you mentioned the bridge parapet on Marnham bridge, many GN bridges, had a very low parapet, maybe as low as 18" it was then topped with a picket fence, not all, but some. See if you can find a 'Old' picture. manna
  8. I remember what it was like 50 years ago, I was working at Kings Cross, which I enjoyed, but I want to be 20 again. manna
  9. G'Day Folks I'd like to go back 50 years, but with what I know now. I could then make a few 'Decent' mistakes. manna (aka Terry)
  10. G'Day Folks If that loco had been in a loft for many years in Oz, you would have bought a 'Puddle' of whitemetal. manna
  11. G'Day Folks Yes it's Woolmer Green, although in the 70's it was a lot more 'Open' the embankment and cuttings were only grass, the house's on the Down side could easily be seen from the train, on the Up side, you could see right across the fields. manna
  12. G'Day Richard b Yep got to have a bit of dirt on a Steam engine. I'm looking forward to seeing a Pro-Scale V2 being built, just don't ask Tony Wright for advice, he'll say 'bin it'. manna
