  1. Nice sunnyish day here in sunny Teignmouth.

I'm off to lie down in a dark room. Just read Modbury and how Ian made a smoke box door dart in 2mm. What precision modelling.

    Afternoon all you groovy protoplasms.

I feel for those who have put money into DJM today. Looks like the goldfish has flipped over and floated to the top of the tank.

It must be costly visiting China for an undefined period.

Lucky you - we used to get our mail by 08.30,  but after the Royal Mail's last re-organisation our delivery duty was scrapped, and we have been tagged onto the end of a delivery duty which seems to cover a massive area, and ends with us - I am the last house on the last part of the delivery, so our post arrives around 3.00 pm.  If we receive anything urgent which needs to be turned quickly, we can't do so same day, as the collection at most local boxes can be as early as 10.00.

... and to think, I can remember complaining to the sorting office when our 2nd post was delivered late :D

  4. Horsetan (according to EarlyRisers sometime ago) had a run in with A N Official and has gone completely.

Another one who vanished completely was Dutch Master who had a run in over meat labelling on ER.

Travellin Trev, from north Devon but living & working in Nigeria also vanished quite suddenly.

RM Web should have a cold store, where your profile slips into if it is not used for say, 6 months.  It's not deleted but just stored in case you come back.  That way we would at least know that someone may be MIA.

  5. This international name thingy is probably involved in his shirt, where other nations use the family name first.

Last week whilst on the phone to my broadband supplier I was asked if they could call me by my 1st name.  After being switched to the right department I was called Mr Peter for the rest of the time.

  6. Trouble was the match was played so long after both teams last competitive matches.  It often affects teams. Spurs didn't even play a friendly during that time, although apparently they walked over hot coals.

At least Salah stayed on the pitch and didn't try to get away on holiday too early this year.

Why does his Liverpool shirt have M Salah?  It's not as if they have several Salahs in the squad.

Congratulations Jamie and Beth. No picture of Tyne Bridge given you’re “upt north” then? I suppose Tyne Bridge and shorts would be a trifle incongruous. Have a good day but do sneak away when you’ve had enough, it is a privilege that comes with age :).

    Photos as well?

The Geordie speak was enough! modelling tikens e tractec frim my wallett.

  8. Sissoko had his arm up and if you watch, his finger was extended pointing (to someone behind him) to move toward the goal.

Mane noticed the hand up and if you watch closely he shuffles his feet so as to be able to flip the ball upwards deliberately targetting Sissoko's arm.

No excuses, Sissoko should be more aware.

  9. Female Spurs fan interviewed on R5Live this morning.  She said she had married a Gooner, when asked what team her 4 kids supported, she replied she wouldn't have given birth to a Gooner.

    Made me chuckle.

  10. What a shame football doesn't have a playoff like the rugby union premiership.  Spurs might have been Premier League champions if the top 4 played off.  27 points behind?  Nothing!

  11. We have swirling sea mist today, over the river it's really thick and Shaldon has vanished. Our valley has it creeping up and then receding before creeping back up. The sun is trying to shine through and some of the white painted houses are reflecting the sunlight through the mist.  It's quite eerie.

  12. Peanuts your name reminded me of going to Spurs in the early 70's.  I went to NSTS Gravesend and each fortnightly intake was subjected to being called "peanuts" for the first 2 weeks.  The call out from older boys was either "peanuts" or "peanuts you aint ever going home."  Each time you got shouted at it automatically made you look round.

Stood on the terraces at Spurs and the peanut seller used to wander around up and down the terrace shouting "peanuts".  It took me a while to ignore it.

  13. Today started off slightly misty and cold with the look of rain in the sky. Since lunch time the sun is in attendance very hotly and therefore drying the laundry.

I have finally purchased the coat hooks and another fitment (that was reduced in price) for my coat rack.  I have 3 nice pieces of 3'5"x8"x7/8" timber to use as a chunky back board.  Fixed to the wall with 4 or 6 coathooks (maybe 2 staggered rows of 3) with the tray/keyhook fitment above.

The timber (I am unaware of what type has a few worm holes that I have just dealt with. I am wondering whether I should brush treat all the timber in woodworm treatment as a precaution.
