He's had it a long time, will be getting a good tidy up soon. Used to regularly drive it Guildford to Grosmont when we went up there, his dad owned 50027,at that time I had a Cavalier GSI replica, really should have got a pic of them together. Rob -

My mate still has one,one of the very few 16v saloons still on the road. Rob -
Trip out to the Wensleydale Railway on Sunday to see and ride 142078 back running, first runs in preservation, coincided nicely with a retro Ford show in Leyburn. Rob

Nice photos, love the one at Battersby, we used to holiday near Whitby regularly, hence my photos earlier, so like yourself I've always had a soft spot for them, never got to see a Skipper on the branch though. Only Skipper I got on was 025 between Beverley and Hull in 1998,half day on Friday at college there, couldn't believe it when it rolled in under the roof! Rob

The KA can and did rust pretty much everywhere, I welded a rear sill on a 5 year old one, shame they were like that as they handled quite good and were a doddle to work on. Rob

Nice pic,the pair of 2 door mk1 Escorts are probably worth as much as everything else in that car park now, choice for me would be the mk2 Cavalier SRI. Rob

Mine arrived yesterday, fantastic model, runs and sounds perfect straight out the box, must admit I'm not keen on the cab colour so will be repainting it,also noted is the lamps should be body colour aswell as the thin sole bar. Another item but not easy rectified is,with the long bonnet to the right, the cab door handles are on the wrong side of the door. As a big fan of the 14s non of this has put me off getting another sometime, its much better than building another DJH kit. Rob

The other option you have is to put a MM1 bodyshell on a Heljan chassis, my dad did this as he didn't like the look of the Heljan one, also added in were various bogie and underframe details. Email Laurie at MM1 and he'll send you the parts list and you can then see what you'll need. Rob -

Four of us from Hessle MRG paid a visit yesterday, its absolutely stunning to see,the quality of the modelling is top notch,we caught up with Simon who was happy to stop for a quick natter and answer a few questions. Anyone considering going I can fully recommend it. Rob
