  3. Excellent photos as always Dave and these local to me,I regularly walk over the bridge your on at Hessle. You'll probably think I'm nuts (and you've every right to) but I always enjoy your photos of the Pacers in their earlier liveries,always had a soft spot for them. Rob

Thanks Dougal,yes it does,the coupling rods on it are one piece so there's no compensation or side play which doesn't help,ok through Peco points but that's about it, I think the weight of it helps keep it on the track,which as you've pointed will probably help yours. I'm a big fan of the 14s so I'll be getting some Minerva ones when they come out. Rob

  6. Quite right Brian,sometimes its the journey not the destination that makes it. Will look forward to seeing how you do the wasp stripes,I was building a class 04 recently and was doing ok (by my standards) until I came to them and made a right dogs dinner of it,any hints or tips greatly welcome.   7. GEC 5576 having a run up and warm up in the winter sun at The Yorkshire Wolds Railway. Rob
  8. Fiat 1100 engine is definitely non interference and IIRC the 1.6 16v in the Mazda MX5. Rob
  9. Ford 1.0 eco boost engine is a wet belt set up ie runs in oil,designed to run for 150k or 10 years,I've not done one yet but I'm told its not a great job to do. Rob

  13. Thanks to some time off on furlough I've made progress with one of mine,this is the first etched brass loco I've built so it's tested my skills a bit but has been an enjoyable kit to build,was going ok until the soldering iron jacked in!. Rob

There was a thread started the other week asking pretty much the same questions it's in Modelling questions hints and tips IIRC,from what was said I believe Railtec is working on a suitable pack. will be most welcome as I've held off numbering my 05 due to lack of suitable transfers and the reason I haven't bought a green 03,yet!.   15. It is,that pic was taken today on the daily exercise about 3.30 and it's strange now quiet that stretch of road is. I do indeed volunteer at the YWR,until the plague brought a halt to things our extension into field 2 was going well,keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for when we get going again ,you'll be made very welcome and there's always a good cup of tea to be had.
