  1. Brilliant job Lee - particularly like the perfect join of the brick courses at the corners and the weathering.
  2. Great work again freebs - love the steps and the brickwork.
  3. For the rest of us it would be a pub crawl - but for Allan it is bound to be a run. The windows for the entrance of the first pub are looking very crisp - looking forward to this. Cheers John
  4. These pictures are never boring Allan - the scale of this last building is very imposing. It would be good to see it arranged with another building on the opposite side of the "street" so that the effect of the Tudor overhangs is really evident. Keep up the great work.
  5. Loved those pictures Allan (especially the detail in IMG_0012 in post 4788)!
  6. Top notch photography Shaun (helped by the modelling of course). The CCT chassis is looking good. Cheers John
  7. Superb Tudor buildings (as always) Allan. You'll be quite glazed over by the time you finish the windows in those bays!
  8. Hi Jonathan, Have enjoyed catching up on your thread - particularly like your station. I found a dolls' house clock about the correct size when building my station. Cheers John
  9. The mine building is magnificent Allan! Are you going to leave it in the garden and rent it out as a spare bedroom?
  10. Another wonderful video Adrian. I particularly liked the opening shot through the passageway and the view across the field at 39 seconds!
  11. Great pictures Allan - its always good to see your buildings together in a diorama.
  12. Happy Birthday Jaz - wishing you happy modelling for another year!
  13. I really enjoyed your last two videos Adrian - great work (and imagination too). Keep them coming. Cheers John
  14. Are they very big Kangaroos or very small elephants? I bought my boys some of these Hornby circus wagons several years ago.
  15. Jaz and Kal, Happy New Year. Sorry to read about your adverse reaction to the pills - hope all is good now. I have just enjoyed catching up on the 14 pages you managed to add since I departed before Christmas! As usual some inspirational details in those town scenes. I particularly liked the Christmas scenes and tree, but the puddles stand out as the highlight. Anything you do with water and reflections always turns out brilliantly. Looking forward to more fantastic photographs and posts in 2015.
  16. Happy New Year Shaun. Have enjoyed catching up on your thread this morning and glad to hear your hand may be mending itself. I still think those photographs with the low sun angle are some of the best around. Looking forward to some more great photographs featuring your new panelled stock which is coming together nicely. Cheers John
  17. Happy New Year Allan - great progress and superb work as usual on the mine buildings. Will try out your weathering tip on my next wooden structure.
  18. Happy New Year Lee - superb work and photography on the signal box. Happy modelling in 2015.

    A New Start

Happy New Year - those figures and barrow look really great!
  20. Hi Duncan That brickwork is looking great. I have used Brassmasters window etches in my buildings and have been very pleased with them. If you haven't already visited it the Signalbox Portfolio thread is full of great ideas and somewhere in there (or perhaps ion the original version on the old RMWeb) gravytrain has an excellent tutorial on making signal boxes. Cheers John
  21. I think buying flights will be out of the question given the cost of these viaducts. Although you could probably build a sizeable raft from the offcuts. The viaduct is looking magnificent Allan.

I think you have got the colour tones just right. Looking good!
  23. I was looking closely at every photograph for that tart... The area is looking fantastic, love the views between the buildings.
  24. I'm pretty sure that the one on the right .... :-) Nice work.
