Got my DCC fitted example today and it is an excellent model. Small point though, is mine unusual in that the destination at both ends is Exmouth? I thought it was supposed to be Exmouth at one end and Paignton at the other?
Rob
Just like the real thing then they are quite often wrong boards!!

All gone very quiet on here since china visit should we be worried?
-
Agreed a good outlet i have picked up a few bargains over the years whilst on holiday in the area.

Its all gone very quiet on the apt-e thread.
Coz we are all just waiting patiently but if jason is watching an update would be good.
I would especially like to know the overhang as i am just starting the design of a new layout.

Just watch out if buying, the big ones are pretty heavy! Best if you have two guys to lift it
Yes they are VERY heavy i bought two last year.
If anyone is interested and put off by worry of mounting to modern plasterboard walls them i have successfully mounted two of them to the same section of plasterboard wall using only the plastic self drill plasterboard fixings but with slightly fatter screws & drilling double the amount of holes (8 instead of 4).
They have been up for 11 months now with no problems.
Very good value must now convince SWMBO that i need smaller ones for around the house!!!

Peter,
Have you made peco aware of your findings ?
I'm sure they'd be mortified to hear how it went
I don't think they would care that much, they had a demo set up at exeter mrs that did nothing!!
I along with many other people walked away thinking i wont be buying one of those.
If they can't get something as basic as a working demo right why would they be concerned about customer feedback.

Not a silly thought at all. I'm glad to receive any guidance. Many thanks indeed for replying. But, how would I correct this or investigate? Beginning to wish I had bought a simpler/more mainstream controller to replace my Dynamis. I am beginning to feel an eBay moment coming on!
Just reverse the wires to one half of the layout then reconnect the booster and give it a try.
Not really familiar with Z21 but looks like it will be good when you get it working properly.

Just a silly thought but could the Z21 have reverse loop module built in and you have the 2 halves of your layout wired opposite to each other?
It could be that the higher current with the booster is too much for reverse loop switching that might explain why it works without the booster.
