  1. During this lockdown, i've become great friends with 25 letters of the alphabet, i don't know why............. (y)
  2. A few of my Drewery builds. First is standard "Nellie" chassis and skirts, second uses the "Perfecta" motorising kit, third is straight, non-motorised attempt at "FORD" works of Dagenham shunter and the fourth is just a "let's see if it fits on this!"
  3. Yes, i used the later, Hornby, silver seal, B12 drivers as i had a set spare. Just popped out the short crankpin boss and tapped in a longer Britannia boss.

  5. A Lancashire man attended the funeral of his wife and as the mourners drifted away he suddenly realised there was a mistake on the head stone. The last line read "She was thin" instead of thine. He rings the mason and points out that he had left the E off. "No problem" says the mason, "I'll do it tomorrow." The next evening, after work, the man returns to see "E' she was thin!"

  11. Stick the whole thing in a freezer bag and spray with oven cleaner, seal bag for an hour, take out and wash off. Transformed! Loco in disguise!

  13. I went to the Curry's sale. They had flat screen telly's for a £1 because the volume was stuck on full blast. I couldn't turn it down.........

  16. And 3 takes on the Truro! As they all use the "Nellie" chassis, are they "boshes!" Bottom Truro uses the Lima King tender drive.
  17. This inspired me to dig out my A2 and give it a clean and oil. Trix body, Scotsman chassis and Triang tender. Standard.
  18. Try "Letraset" rub down transfers. Cheap, easy and hundreds of styles and colours!
  19. I really hurt my neck as i bit into a fondant filled, swirly chocolate with a nut on top. Yep, i've got walnut whiplash.........
  20. Look out for "Merco" Lithographs. 4mm scale and some 7mm and 2mm. They come on a lovely semi matt, full colour sheet. EMU'S, coaches and wagons.

Here's a few of mine.......W.D. uses Kitmaster, motorised wagon power in the tender, Dukedog uses Triang diesel motor bogie in the tender, Aberdare uses Lima 08 chassis, No.1 uses the "Lord of the Isles" chassis. The others you will know! The green "Battle of Britain" uses the original princess wheels, filled with P38 and tampo detail, The Schools uses the kit valve gear, it's fine! Incidentally, the mineral wagons are Airfix kits, 2 rakes of 10, weathered.

  23. I love a Hall, but i'm no Saint! 171, named "Albion" Feb 1904, rebuilt as 4-4-2 Oct 1904, renamed "The Pirate" March 1907, rebuilt again as 4-6-0 July 1907 and re-renamed "Albion". Numbered 2971 in 1913......and that's 'all!
