  1. Any pictures for the lucky few who have them? Just hope my order is not part of the second batch!
  2. I'm sure they will be fine. Idle some of my engines when filming YouTube videos, so I don't get the click of the controller in! Of course I will post the results from my sound test on hear, when I get the loco that is. It will just be one of Hornby's new basic sound models, the Network Rail 37 is top on the list!
  3. Thanks you ever so much! Just what I was looking for! Found nothing like this in my searches! Just hope a DCC sound fitted Bachmann or Hornby loco will function the same way on DC! If so it will be perfect! Once again many thanks! Callum
  4. Anyone got any footage of this?
  5. Thanks. So it will work? I'm thinking about getting one of Hornby's new TTS sound model, to run on a small DCC exhibition and my friends DCC layout when I visit, just wanted to if some of the main functions would work on my many layout which is DC. Also just wanted to see if someone had filmed this too, so I could see for myself.
  6. I have read in a few posts that basic DDC loco sound functions (i.e. when moving) work on DC. If so does anyone have any footage of this, as I am very interested to see it in action. I know most of the functions like whistles, horn, brakes and guards won't work, but as for the basic movement sounds I hear that it works. So if anyone can shed a light (or a video) on this I would be very grateful. Many thanks Callum
  7. Started work on the Hornby Hoppers today and will post some picks when they are all complete, but in the mean time here is a quick video showing all the pictures of complete wagons and loco so far.
  8. Thanks Richard! Glad you like em! I would love to keep some of these, but as always they are not mine to keep! I hope the guy likes them!
  9. Thanks mate! Glad like them! Now onto the rest!
  10. Thanks Will! Glad you like the variation! The guy said he would like a good variety! Now onto the other 4, along with the 4 grey ones, 4 Hornby Hoppers and the Dapol GW Loco Coal 20ton wagon! Thanks mate! Now onto the 4 other, then the 4 grey ones, the 4 Hornby Hoppers and the Dapol GW Loco Coal 20ton wagon!
  11. Thanks again Barry. I always flow photographs when I get down to weathering. Yes, the under frames are a bit on the light side, because the powder have trouble sticking (plus the camera does not do them justice).
  12. The first batch of Bachmann BR Bauxite 16 tonner mineral wagons, with varying levels of weathering (light, medium, heavy). I have four more of these to finish, plus four BR Grey one, four Hornby SC 20 ton Hoppers and a Dapol GW 20 Ton Steel Mineral wagon. All weathering like usual is done with powders and paints. Please tell me what you think.
  13. Thanks Matt! Now to continue with the massive fleet of wagons which I have to weather for this guy too! More to come!
  14. Thanks again mate! finally got there with her! Now to continue weathering the massive fleet of wagons I have been give to me to weather by a friend along with this loco!
  15. The Super D is now complete! Just added the finishing touches today, which include water leaks to the running plate and grime to the buffers! Sorry about the quality of the images again, as it does not show up the weathering as good as in the flesh. Takes me ages to get good close-up with this camera! Should get the big one out next time!
  16. Shame, I was looking forward to having my ESSO one in action in time for Christmas!
  17. Thanks for the info! But sadly she is not mine, as I am weather her for a friend. I will give her another coat of powders over the buffers tomorrow. Will use your tips on the next one though.
  18. I am trying very hard! Had some trouble with this one at first! Still a few little details to add!
  19. Thanks Barry! Totally agree with you, but am having trouble getting the powders to stick to the buffer beam. :scratchhead:I plan to add more any other paint or powder you recommend? I gave the Super D a good overall covering, as the friend I am weathering it for said he us to see them as a kid. He mentioned the had trouble getting the numbers as they where so dirty!
  20. Thanks mate! Glad you like it! Nope, I don't plan to go too over the top, just some dirt on the buffers and a few water leaks on the running plate. I would lobe to add real coal and a crew, but sadly this loco (along with Queen Mary an the wagons that will be on here soon)are not mine, I am weathering them for a friend! Would love to though!
  21. I would love too, but I tend to get very distracted when doing tutorials. As you can guess I would not like to mess up a loco! Might do in the future though. If you are looking for a help video check out the Humbrol Tutorial, it is where I got some tips from.
  22. Started work on the Bachmann Super D today. Followed photographs, as these locos where famous for getting dirty/rusty. So I went for a Very Heavy look, but due to the certainly powders not looking right I left it at Heavy. All the powders are on and just a few finishing touches to add tomorrow, which included water leaks and the oil/grease build-up in the middle of the buffers. Sadly with the light and a camera which is not very good at taking close up the images are not the best and the model look better in the flesh. Please tell me what you think, as I am unsure with this one.
  23. Thanks Matt! Glad you like it! They are superb model! I hope you find one!
  24. Thanks Will! I am weathering this fleet for a local man. He apparently has a massive layout and said I can visit it to have a look one day! No problem mate! I do them for you, to join you Cattle Van!
