Always amazes me that the GWR did not rename Edward VIII after the abdication.

I note that as of 1140 today WCRC are still taking bookings for the Jacobite on their website.

And today you have another picture from the so called internet influencer.
Here is one of my Panniers waiting for the signal to clear so they can proceed.
Jimmy and the Porter are chatting about life generally now they are in the glare of the internet!
I suppose now if I post this you will all rush out and buy another Pannier?
Well, you can't have to many Panniers can you????
Your modelling skills certainly influences us and I agree about never having too many GWR pannier tanks.

Jvol 2223; why are there two tank wagons immediately behind the loco?
I suspect they are milk tankers but others may know better.

Looking back to the introduction of TT3 back in 1957 it is interesting to see how the range was introduced and expanded.
1957 - 3F and Castle
1958 - no new locos
1959 - 08, 31 and Merchant Navy
1960 - Britannia
1961 - Prairie
1962 - no new locos
1963 - 104 DMU
The TT120 introduction looks to be progressing at a similar pace but under the spotlight of the internet.

Or it could have been delivering an electric unit to Bewdley.
Would that be for the new line into the forest, once the bridge has been rebuilt?

In the absence of any Christmas crackers in this household I am pleased to inform you that I enjoyed my last Penguin bar this evening!
Who is a Penguin's favourite family member?
Aunt Arctica.
Hat, coat, exit stage left.

Ah, Tranquillity and peacefulness.
It appears the Little Muddle calendar always resets to 1938 and never moves on to 1939...
By comparison at least 1938 had an illusion of tranquillity and peacefulness.
Unless you lived in Austria or Czechoslovakia!

The look on the woman’s face in the pink top, on the Prague picture J1438 says it all…. I Don’t think she is to impressed with it 😂I pity the poor person who was going to get told exactly what she thought of the situation.

Sending my best wishes to all my railway modelling friends for a prosperous and happy 2024.
Currently watching the fireworks from around the London Eye and wondering just how much pollution the Mayor has paid for!

About 25 years ago we had a wonderful local councillor who wanted to stop all fireworks except for organised displays. Only trouble was the local organised display had music so loud that all local cats and dogs are more upset by the music than the fireworks! Said local councillor said he was not bothered about pets as it was up to their owners to look after them. I tried to get a noise injunction on the display but failed as it was run by the local council who couldn't care less about the residents.
Pleased to say I have moved and we have one councillor who really works for the local community.

You could always model the derelict house. With scaffolding with a cameo of workers standing around doing nothing. Normal Little Muddle life.
They wouldn't have scaffolding! Too much effort to put that up.

I just left the supermarket where I noticed that they were flogging off Christmas crackers for 25% of the price of last week.
Perhaps I should buy a box, just for the jokes?
Please don't bother.

In the late 60s and early 70s when I worked on a Saturday in Platform Two Model Railway Shop in Wimbledon Broadway all second hand item were always tested in front of the customer on the oval test track. For new items we always asked the customer if they would like to see their purchase working and most said yes. A few said they did not want the box opened as they did not take their purchases out of the box and simply put them in a display cabinet. It was for that reason we never opened a box until asked to by the customer. For mail order items boxes were not opened but second hand items were tested.

Thank you for that information. I saw a very good model railway of a German station in about 1936 at an exhibition around 1990 and the owner told me that he had been approached by the organiser of a German exhibition to see if he would be able to display it in Germany. The organiser had said as a almost throw away comment that he would of course have to remove all the swastikas before it was allowed into Germany which meant it was never taken there.
