  1. Just loved that off topic emoticon..........behave.!!!!
  2. I have heard a whisper that 70019 and 70020 are due to arrive Liverpool on Friday 17th February.? Can anyone confirm this.? Bob
  3. It would be more expensive for them to keep them in the US where they are not earning money. So why not ship them out as soon as they are ready. You are right about the Turkey thing....I did hear they would be building kit ones over there...but when and if that starts, I dont know. Bob
  4. Mick, Thanks for the info...a few of us might go to Liverpool see the next lot arrive, Is it likely they will be shipped the same way as the last two.? Bob
  5. Not showing yet, but I estimate that mileage is now down to about only about 250 miles from the Irish Coast Does anyone know if it has more than one class 70 loco on board.....i.e. 70018 Flying Dutchman. ( I wish ) Bob
  6. Hi dave, Any ideas where it is to be moved to......Basford perhaps? And you think possibly there are 3 locos on the next boat.....mmmmmmmm? Don't suppose your lad fancies an early hours photoshoot at Seaforth.?
  7. Atlantic Cartier has now left halifax Nova Scotia en route to Liverpool........can anyone confirm if it has 70018 on board.? Thanks.......Bob.
  8. Give it time...............but I'm all with you and your 56 sentiments. Bob
  9. You know........I thought exactly the same as you before I heard and saw them......but they grew on me. Not surprising as I did like the 58's a lot. Besides, its good to have another class of loco fleet growing.
  10. I'm pretty sure there are no scheduled trips for any of these locos through Sheffield.
  11. Have heard a whisper that 70018 is on its way to the UK, aboard "Atlantic Cartier", due in Liverpool on 16th January. Anyone care to confirm this.?? Bob Edit.......I note this ship is due to arrive Halifax, Nova Scotia tomorrow, Mon 9th Jan...could this be to collect 70018.?
  12. Any news on 17 and 18.....are they on their way.? If there is anything on board the Atlantic Companion, then it will be here on 9th January 2012, arriving Liverpool at 18.00, that is its current ETA. Bob
  13. From FL and GE blokes in the Docks this morning. All four should be moving tomorrow. Aiming for 1300ish. Order is 014/015/016/013. Should be a 66 drag as 014 has a TPWS fault, the others have various faults , the driver who is likely to be available signs the Docks but not 70s. All from the horse's mouth. Fots to follow. We'll see.????????????
  14. My pal walked along a river bank near to the docks to view the one that was dropped. It is so far away, just not worth it.
  15. I'm told that the DRS 66/4 already left on a coal train...???
  16. 11pm....just 2km to go.........now being led into dock by a tug/pilot.
  17. Yes, I noticed earlier that it was off Lands End, and now off Padstow. Christmas present for Freightliner.?? Bob
  18. Hi Guys, My understanding is that the vessel BBC Colorado should have docked this afternoon in Newport, with the new class 70's on board. Everytime I search for the vessels whereabouts on the live marine tracking site...it keeps on coming up as vessel out of range......any thoughts.? Bob
  19. Get down to the LYDCC show in Rawtenstall.

  20. Hi Ian, Thanks for your reply....is it really that simple.? It is for my pal, but if we can do it simply for him, then I would be tempted to use one. The point will be hand operated, just requiring polarity switching. So we just follow the wiring as per post #5n using 2 x SPDT switches...????? Bob.
