  1. I’m still delighted by the smooth running of my DCC fitted Manor under DC control. Having no control of the random sounds seems more exciting than the steady chuffs under DCC control.

I haven’t been brave enough to try running it with an HM 6000 controller as this has inbuilt pulse waves - has anyone had experience here?   I wondered if the higher frequency would be safer than the lower frequency pulse waves.

  2. Very little smell there- they are very clean premises for the piggies. I think it is a composite pigsty - the enclosure on the left is a little larger than the other two.

Further to this eBay purchase in 2020 and the loss of photos in the RMweb crash we now see it progressing with the start of a load. An Oxford Diecast Fowler plough is on the way to some lucky South Hams farmer. I will tie it down after giving the plough a coat of matt varnish to dull its out of the box shiny appearance. Some sellers want 35 sheets for a mint boxed example of the Loriot but patience is usually rewarded if an unboxed example can be sought. The underframe , as one would imagine, is non existent detail wise compared with todays models. Now do I get the traction engine to match or would it be a too heavy load for a loriot/lowmac.

Wiki-Knowall  says the Fowler ploughing engine weighs 21 tons with water tank and coal box full The Loriot can take 25 tons !

Lovely shot of the 2776 idling outside the engine shed Kevin.

Idling sums up Little Muddle - so 2776 fits in well especially without a motor!
I don’t think the chap staring at his runner beans has noticed the new arrival yet.

Sitting, minding her own business, 2776 open cab Pannier sits in the afternoon sun.

Waiting for her crew to turn up……unfortunately the wait will be a while as I have run out of crew so have some on order….

So, at the moment just waiting

    A splendid makeover !

Those brake rods make a huge difference - I’ve just looked up the instruction sheet and see they could fit a Bachmann chassis too.

That is a work of genius Kevin. Astounding modelling, and what a wonderful start to the day.

I've fitted the extra pipes and screwlinks as supplied in the polybag. In my opinion these are cosmetic use only as they are very fragile. Extra close Hunt couplings bring the gap down nicely although a sliver of packing card is necessary to stop the slop in the NEM socket. Here they are behind my replacement Dapol mogul which has had the smokebox door changed to a correct GWR version.
