I wonder if this would be too fragile as a 3D print in resin . I’m sure it would sell well if it fitted the AS Manor !

Thank you folks,  I see now that I was fooled by the fact that coupling was ‘loosened’ to its limit !

4074 is not quite as 1923 built. Official images show the name was spelt  'Caldicott' when first built but spelling soon corrected with a single 't'.

I notice the front coupling appears to have a third link allowing it to be stowed straight. Is this unusual ?

I remember in my student days a psychiatrist who had painted his MG midget red one side , white the other and the bonnet and the boot weren’t weathered !

Oops - of course you’re absolutely right! Careless of me. 200 lines by tomorrow.

Clever use of tree shadows on backscene to simulate steam escaping from safety valves!! - and a good view of the improved chimney Bachmann put on the 83xx class.

Thank you - that’s most helpful. So a scale width of 9 ft is just over the 8’11 1/8 “  for the Manor’s cylinders - should fit most oo platforms with the narrower scrolls fitted.

Suggesting the width over the steps is 8ft 11 or 9ft

Thank you for pointing me at that archive. Looking at the model it looks as though though the bogie suspension arms project well beyond the steps.

Planning ahead for the arrival of the Steam Railmotor I was wondering if anyone had any information on the platform clearance required for the motor bogie and Dean suspension. The Accurascale Manor has already caused a platform rebuild due to its cylinder width.

That’s interesting- I haven’t run mine through my Limpley Stoke platforms - but I’m expecting a rebuild for when the Kernow Steam Railmotor arrives - the Dean bogie suspension looks as though it will need even more clearance than the Manor cylinders.

I bought one from Hattons daily secondhand page last month   late crest unlined , DCC fitted : so I took the chip out and it runs really well . Haven’t sent it up hills yet but it’s ok on the flat.
