It would be nice if the 'tommy' bar could be hinged as well to tuck neatly inside the bottom link as Western crews often did. Years ago there was a lost wax casting available with the coupling in this position. I cannot remember who sold it.

I wonder if this would be too fragile as a 3D print in resin . I’m sure it would sell well if it fitted the AS Manor !

There were a lot of clerestories around on the GW. Here is a 1935 batch Castle surrounded by clerestories.

4074 is not quite as 1923 built. Official images show the name was spelt  'Caldicott' when first built but spelling soon corrected with a single 't'.

I notice the front coupling appears to have a third link allowing it to be stowed straight. Is this unusual ?

He was lucky the ground broke his fall!  (Spike Milligan)

Luckily for us one of our train spotter friends was sitting up a tree with his camera and tripod and got this picture.

9319 waiting, simmering (that's just the crew), ready for the off......

    when will that signal change?

I think it’s the 93xx, the 83xx was an 43xx with extended front buffer beam and old cab design.

please correct if I am wrong!

Oops - of course you’re absolutely right! Careless of me. 200 lines by tomorrow.

Finally received my two Manors from Accurascale…and they don’t fit through my platforms 🤣 bit of track relaying required!

That’s interesting- I haven’t run mine through my Limpley Stoke platforms - but I’m expecting a rebuild for when the Kernow Steam Railmotor arrives - the Dean bogie suspension looks as though it will need even more clearance than the Manor cylinders.
