Not sure if this picture was going to work.

The family sitting on the bench are a very old Dart Castings model and I expect are the oldest on this layout though from this angle the young lad looks like he's supporting a moustache!!!!

The seat and lamp are also from Dart's with the trolley from Mudmagnet Models with some Modelscenes luggage.

Yes , good figures from normal viewing distance - but close up I thought that was Peter Brough and Archie Andrew’s !  Oh for the BBC Light Programme again .

Would a trip on a SRM be considered more akin to travelling on an omnibus or tram?

Plenty of gentleman wearing hats here on the omnibus , albeit in 1902, when I thought the rules might be stricter.

The Kinver Light Railway about 1901

On the tram trailer below (circa 1890) is that a gent wearing a hat (L lower deck).

Perhaps gents hats were optional on open trams as they were on a charabanc.  The gent in the closed tram prefers his own company !

    Hang on here a minute....

    Let's zoom in a bit!

    That umbrella 's still there.

    Strange

Does anybody know whose it is??

It sort of appeared one day and to date never been claimed.....

I think it belongs to Mary Poppins. I took my grandchildren to see the show just before Covid 19 closed it   Spit spot!

  4. I’m looking forward to getting mine at Easter- that will give me time to build the timber platform extensions of Limpley Stoke on a curve. I’m going to use Scale Model Scenery laser cut girders for support but haven’t worked out how to make the planking on a curve !

  5. I feel the urge, when the train has passed  to cross the line through the enticing gate and explore the countryside beyond.

  6. Happy Christmas Little Muddlers and thank you Kevin for your daily posts - about the only post my dog, Doris, doesn’t bark at !  It must be a bit of a chore producing something every day - perhaps next year have a couple of days between posts - we’ll still be following !!

I once attended a meeting [of BR's Business Resources Forum, where each Sector provided a rep and we tried to prioritise schemes to make best use of scarce resources like signal design engineers] where 4 people sitting in a row were all left-handed. There were only about 9 or 10 people there. Sinister!

    Or Dexter ?
