  1. " You know, If these trains always run this empty, someone might think it would be a good idea to close the line one day"
  2. How on earth can the driver see the guard waving his green flag, or pick up his token for single line working. At least he can't fall out of the window when the train tilts !
  3. p Ooh lovely! It reminds me of the advertisements in the Basset Lowke catalogue of the 1950's ! I have the transfers, but would I be forgiven for putting them on my Hawksworth version in chocolate and cream ?
  4. The flanges on the rear radial wheels look finer- I hope it is not just an illusion so it should run better on C+L track.
  5. I think someone had taken some of the spam out of the tin- it wasn't heavy enough to pull 11 coaches when half full....
  6. Can I use the footbridge yet? I'm fed up waiting for all thes trains to go past, and I want to chat to Mr Warburton about proving dough.
  7. These Southern drivers are taking a very long time to get familiar with this route. I think their arms are withering....
  8. Wow! Doesn't stuff grow quickly in South Devon- Gulf Stream obviously. I fancy walking my dog behind the station now-- come on, Tilly!
  9. That last photo is a wonderful overview of the Devon countryside. The grass looks so natural. I don't thin you've shown this angle before, but you can see a large sink hole behind the station. Lovely Grange too.. Mike
  10. I find the sepia less harsh on the eye than B&W and gives the impression of antiquity- which is the aim of our esteemed period photographer!Mike
  11. Mr Warburton will be wishing you hadn't taken his umbrella away later this week. Maybe he has been standing there just to get a good view of that lovely Grange before he goes home.
