    Just had a wonderful 50th birthday despite lockdown thanks to my wife, Jennifer. Got me a lovely train cake and 2 first class tickets for The Jacobite next year!! And yes, i did mention the sleepers were on top of the rails not under!!!

      My other hobby is lighting and laser engineer for a Pink Floyd tribute band, The Pure Floyd Show. No gigs since Feb mind!!

      It's a real shame but a completely avoidable situation. Shows just how much WCRC values its customers that it lets them down again due to their inability to manage safety.

      Yes, it is very unfortunate for all the prospective passengers. It can't be very comforting for the majority of WCR's staff either, who haven't done anything wrong, but for whom the future may not be quite so assured now.

    Looking forward to a trip on the Hadrian tomorrow - only downside is that it will be diesel powered "pushing" a Jubilee or 8F!!! This weather has a lot to answer for!!!

    S&C trip behind Duchess of Sutherland cancelled this Saturday. First it was a landslide closing the S&C, second its the numpty drivers working for West Coast Railways that got them banned from running on the mainline!!
