  1. That looks quality! I am currently taking apart a Bachmann mk2f b it struggling to get the end gangways off (seems to be very strongly glued in on both ends!) - any words of advice based on your experience with this coach type thanks.
  2. Looking good there mate 👍🏻
  3. It has been a little while since any real update on the layout. One of those is coming in due course but not loads to report on that front with the weather until recently being extremely cold out in the garage. So I have been focusing my efforts on projects I can work on indoors over this period. More of all that to come but in the mean time we made another research trip back to the real location. We did this for 2 main reasons - to scope out parts of the location which are normally hidden by undergrowth and vegetation which have died back over the winter months, and to check some specifics on certain places we had missed previously! So, some note worthy shots below… I wanted to get some better shots of the lineside electrical boxes while they were in view. This way we could accurately capture the correct type and any graffiti on them too. One thing that was lucky for us on the day was they have recently completely cut back all of the greenery on the embankment. This allowed for views we have never seen before personally or on photos. It gave us a really good understanding of the gradient and form of the embankment as well great reverse views of the trackside equipment too. We discovered some trunking too which we were previously unaware of! It also helped us map out the trackside fencing too. All in all, a great little research trip which allowed for us to improve our build!
  4. Couldn’t agree more with this! I’m hoping for the x2 container variants used with Freightliner for their Binliner services. Would go great with the green FEA’s. The GBRF ones have carried the Gypsum blue containers already produced for their PFA’s too… common rodders Accurascale, you know it makes sense 😁
  5. Am I the only one who thinks Bachmann has forgotten about the class 47’s? Desperate for a West Coast example. Even other examples not done on the new tooling would surely be a certain hit! MK2F’s as well? Certainly the blue grey ones need another run… (not my era, but an unbiased opinion). Anglia ones would go down well too with a DBSO and nothing to go behind it.
  6. Thats a funny looking 31! anyways back to wish listing for tomorrow! Were due another run of 47’s. A West Coast one will do me nicely! A run of Anglia liveried MK2F’s would go down well too. Especially with the DBSO having nothing to run with for the last year or so! Outside the box I would like to see a First Scotrail 90! And maybe as a collectors club limited edition the Balfour Beatty pair of 20’s in the new tooling would be grand! Would be also nice to see the 168/170 turbostar new tooling we were (kind of) promised all those years ago too. Could do with a Chiltern 168 in either Chiltern livery! Im sure the rest of the turbostar options would go down well too!
  7. This is great news! Well done accurascale! Will any of these be available through your retailers when they arrive? Some FEA's would be great too hopefully! (if you do announce these based on your comments, a range of with and separately purchasable loads would be great as per your PFA's! some Green binliners and track carrying panels would be perfect! especially if they are in the same price range as your current gypsum containers packs!)
  8. Cant wait! Very much excited for these wagons 😃
  9. Getting very jealous now! These look truly staggering! From the pictures Ive seen, are we looking at the best diesel locomotive made in RTR we have ever seen? When is the next run being announced so I can purchase one (or hopefully more) for Greenford! ex fastline or DCR Green anyone? Maybe even an ex fertis one wouldn't go a miss either! 😁
  10. Bridge looks fantastic at night mate - the lighting really brings it to life!
  11. Great work as always mate! The 60 is one of the best Jag recreations I have seen attempted! JNA / MHA look great as ever with your box wagons! The salmons, wow! They look incredible. That reminds me, I need to start work on mine! Not like I have 100 projects already on the go already! lol
  12. Wow! Incredible work mate. Serious stuff!
  13. How easy was it to take apart? Have you got any further pictures of the chassis? Tia
  14. My bold request... on the multiple unit front. One I think could quite easily please a few (us punters and the pockets of accurascale too..) The Networker family? Plenty of livery variations and physical variations which would be easily done in one suite - some variations never even covered before... 165/0 - 2 or 3 car variations (NSE, Early chiltern with modified lights + air con mods, later chiltern with modified lights + air con mods) 165/1 - 2 or 3 car variations (NSE, Thames Trains, FGW Link, FGW Dynamic Lines with original light clusters and upgraded LED type, GWR Green) 166 - 3 car (NSE, Thames Trains Express, FGW Link, FGW Dynamic Lines, FGW Plain Blue, GWR Green) These liveries cover over 30 years, from London to Oxford / Birmingham. They now also cover the majoprity of the west country and can be seen on the 3rd network too at places such as Gatwick, Redhill, Guildford and Basingstoke. So a very wide scope geographically as well as the time period. Potentially could go one step further and incorporate the juiced units too.. 365's, 465's etc. This would open up to the equivalent of the southern half of England coverage wise.. Yes Bachmann have done the 166, but it is a dire need of an upgrade (DCC being the obvious starting point and the 165's were never even covered...).
  15. That looks good - this should give you a nice medium between just 'letting the train run round' and the option of stopping one in the station while another passes through etc
  16. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing! We are in a similar position with Greenford as we are trying to get a good ‘replica’ - great to hear your methods for Sevenoaks!
  17. Personally, with all of the bells and whistles - I’d reckon in this day and age a fair price would work out around £100 per car. 2 car = £200, 4 car = £400 + around £100 for a sound fitted version on top of the price too…
  18. Nice! I sold my Hornby ones as I anticipate Accurascale will release the early body type sooner or later and the Hornby ones will be no match in comparison especially with the quality on the under frames!
  19. Great stuff as always mate! Would be great to read in more detail how you went about scoping the prototype, how you then put that in to model form and what materials you use etc. 👍🏻
  20. Looking good mate! All very nice rakes! I particularly like the bass rake! Incredibly lifelike! Your coalfish rake, will you will be adding any of the Accurascale later type MHA’s?
  21. Some great work there mate! Glad the DB 67 has been put to good use! I particularly like the Royal pair of 67’s, very smart! The EMT 153’s look great weathered up and interiors look smashing - well done. Top work! 👍🏻
  22. I think EWS is a key and much loved livery in general (at least for me!) but it is still around so not sure it can be quite classed as nostalgic (just) yet! However, if you are modelling the last 20+ years and don’t have an EWS 66? It just simply doesn’t add up! 😅
  23. More EWS maroon and gold please! Oh and 66001 in DB colours with the prototype buffer beam would be lovely too 😃
  24. Would you be able to confirm the running numbers within the sets for each livery please? Thanks
  25. Yeah would be great to have options as a lot of sets ran around in rakes of 14.
