  1. Nice spread of liveries, with 37140 and 37258 of particular interest. The blog giving clear dates as to when the liveries were applicable is a great addition. Saves hunting around on Flickr with the date filter to find out. I must admit I was expecting a slight price increase and the inclusion of a working fan on this batch. Hopefully the fan can be engineered as an add-on in the future.
  2. Excellent news. I've been temped by Hornby's version for a few years now but always hoped a better version would come along.
  3. Plus there's the benefit of decoder access through a lift-off panel on the roof.
  4. Yes that's 47765 which as you say lives at the ELR. It's quite a bit scruffier than 47712 which always appears to be immaculate.
  5. Thank you @Andy7, @MikeParkin65and @Walkes07for the advice. Sounds like a fairly easy job.
  6. Just got my 47712. Looks great, much better than it does in photos. The only problem is that one of the windscreens is loose inside the cab. I'd rather open it up and fix it than send it back. It's good to see from the instructions that the body is screwed on rather than clipped but has anyone any experience to share of getting into the cab before I attempt it?
  7. It appears that these wagons are back in stock with all packs available.
  8. Received my two packs today. I must admit they are even better than I thought they would be and my expectations were already high.
  9. I never noticed either and I've been looking at pictures of these for months!
  10. Great pictures and just what I was after, thank you very much for taking the time to post them. Looks like I need to get some weathering practice in.
  11. I'm supposed to be concentrating on the late 80's but I can't get those checkerplate steps out of my head.
  12. Excellent Fran, thanks for that. I couldn't provide definitive evidence on the radiator grille colour. As you say, it's very difficult to ascertain.
  13. Excellent in-depth post by Rick_Skateboard. I've been meaning to post regarding the height of the spotlight and corner handrails but you beat me to it. Great to hear from Fran that they are trying to do something about the light. I would agree that the corner handrails are too tall though. Just a few more items of feedback I don't think has been covered: Is it possible for the lights in the headcode boxes to be more opaque? They look a little too clear. Specifically on 43043, the nose of the prototype only has the OH warning flash label on one side at the radiator end, none at the engine end. The sample shown by Accurascale shows two at the radiator end. On 37043 again, the mesh in the side radiator grilles looks to be black on the prototype but is blue on the sample.
  14. These look superb! Resistance is becoming very difficult, with 608 looking especially appealing.
  15. Well done, an excellent announcement. I must admit I had you pencilled in for a Class 50 next but this will do nicely. Will certainly have a Regional Railways liveried one and maybe one or two others. The next few weeks will now be spent researching photos of them!
  16. Great news on the new batch, coming just a few weeks after I received the last batch due to the delays. Looks like just five green ones this time which works for me as my current seven are all green. A total of twelve will do me fine. Still well priced too. I'm surprised how heavy they are every time I pick one up.
  17. Thanks rab. I'm sure they'll be plenty of silly questions coming!
  18. Hello, Just joined up after being a reader of the forums for just over a year. Some great information in here, I've had a lot of catching up to do after being away from model railways for several decades. Looking forward to getting a layout together one day.
  19. Welcome, just joined myself and looking forward to making some worthwhile contributions too. Lots of great information here.
