  1. After much "Um-ing" and "Uh-ing", I finally got around to ordering the GWR version. Even though I have two other terriers which are in perfect condition (surprisingly) for two years now, I've always been under the impression that I had just gotten lucky with them given the horror stories I've seen/heard. Anyways, No.6 arrived on Tuesday and it seems my luck has finally run out. The running board appears to be warped (even though I'm young, my eyes like to play tricks on me so I'm not entirely sure if it is or not Lol) and the coal guards on the bunker are no where to be found (checked the inside of the box as well). I could send it back but as I am an overseas customer that is not really an option as it would probably cost twice as much sending it back than receiving it. On the bright side, it runs well; no sporadic movements or derailing on curved track so that's a plus I guess.
  2. The only DC GWR green Dukedog that has been released was from the second run I believe; 31-089 no.3214 with the shirtbutton logo. Don't remember exactly when it was released. 2015/16 maybe.
  3. Finally got a hold of mine on Monday as I requested to have mine sent early as I couldn't wait until after Christmas for it to be shipped out along with the other international orders (Shows how much patience I have Lol) and I'm absolutely in love, which in all honesty is probably not the most professional term to use on here but I am still in my early 20s and can be a bit silly at times. I agree with those regarding the drawbar connection. My theory is that the "Plug and play" system seen on Bachmann's new V2 (and on Dapol's GWR Mogul, D Class and eventually the Manor) will be implemented on any new tooled tender locos going on from the V2. Maybe it's just wishful thinking from the mind of a younger enthusiast, who knows. Can't see Red Box following the trend however, they're still using 8 pin sockets but that's just my two-cents.
  4. Mine survived it's journey across the Atlantic and arrived to me on Monday. Thankfully the only damage was a loose buffer and a disconnected loco and tender (both have now been rectified). I did briefly notice a glue mark on the right hand side (Loco's right) of the firebox but I will have a better look at it after Christmas. Apart from that, it is a really beautiful model and I'm very pleased to finally have my all time favorite LNWR loco in my collection at last. Apologies for the poor image quality (phone shots).
  5. That looks even better than mine! Well done! I thought the last ones built were 935-939?
  6. Hi all, I haven't posted on RMweb for quite some time but I thought I'd like to show off my repaint of a Bachmann Compound into it's proper colors (might've offended some people Lol). The model was previously Bachmann's LMS plain black variant that was obtained second hand from a well known auction website. This project was 4 months in the making and I am very pleased with how this turned out. I may not be as skilled and talented as many of you on here so it might not be a "professional finish", so there are many imperfections/compromises. This project came to be as I have grown tired of waiting for Bachmann to announce an LMS crimson one as part of their main range so I took it upon myself to create my own "Crimson Rambler". The lining and cabside numerals are from HMRS and the modern warning stickers and smokebox numerals are from Fox Transfers. As I am from the US I had to use what was available, so the paint used in this project was Humbrol's no.20 Crimson (I am sure Railmatch and Precision Paints produce a more authentic shade of LMS crimson). The loco has modern warning stickers because this is a loco based at my fictional heritage railway that ventures out on the mainline from time to time but is not a regular performer like 6233, 60163, etc. Once I get accustomed to using this website again I will be posting more pictures of this loco and my other models in specific galleries (if that is possible) but in the meantime, I hope you all like my repaint. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Will delete if considered inappropriate or if asked.
  7. Looks like Bachmann has got yet another stunner. These look amazing! Can't wait to get my hands on my pre-ordered 42968 when these are released. Might even pick up the other two when i get some money. Well worth the 4 year (i think) wait in my opinion.
