  1. We’ve learnt the hard way that offering too much choice doesn’t help I’m afraid and does cause more work in the long run. We don’t want to repeat the 321 situation in terms of liveries. Having said which the focus has been on getting the CAD right rather than livery choices. Before we open the order book we will look again at the liveries but honestly I expect fewer rather than more livery choices as the eventual outcome! Cheers Mike
  2. Ben said the same on the FB Live session and it says the same on our Project overview on our website. We've been through several versions of CAD, all of which has taken longer than expected. Cheers Mike
  3. If anyone wants to order more then please place a new order (and as per our FAQs we’ll combine the orders and refund additional postage when we send them out). cheers Mike
  4. <Cue panto season>...oh yes, I have! It is in the miscellaneous section with the timber carriers (as I only remembered about it after I'd run out of space on the first graphic!). Cheers Mike
  5. Hello folks I've just been pulling together some sample consist diagrams for both versions of IWA - the holdall vans and timber carriers - which you can find on our website here: https://www.revolutiontrains.com/iwa-sfins-2-holdall-vans-and-rfnoos-timber-carriers/ Hopefully useful to some people! I still need to finish the route map which will come next. Cheers Mike

  7. Love the application of logic from @Suffolk Rob! The other two TPE Nova classes are quite different from the Mk5s - the 397s are CAF built but the other Nova sets are Hitachi 802s (Nova 1s). Kato will have the majority of the tooling for the 802s from early next year so would be the best bet to ask if they will do the 802s. Cheers Mike
  8. Just click on Shop and follow into the Shop > 4mm/OO gauge > Ecofret FWA container flats cheers Mike
  9. Not too far off the mark Nick! I’m always interested in what models people want - some things are obvious, some things are great ideas that we might never have thought of!
  10. Are we wishlisting or predicting!?! Some interesting thoughts either way
  11. No need to change anything for DC - all modern models are DCC ready and don't require anything removing or changing for DC. DCC ready = (normally) a decoder socket. Cheers Mike
  12. Sorry but that was never part of the reason we started Revolution! Nevertheless we had hoped the 92s would have been here a while ago.
  13. No (in stock just means available to order), if you look in the description (or project overview table) you can see the expected delivery date of Dec 2020-Jan 2021 ie when the main batch of Heljan 37/4s arrive. Cheers Mike
  14. You only need 2 people to want them on eBay!
  15. We’ve no imminent plans to rerun them - when we asked about re-running the N gauge version there wasn’t enough interest and we sold fewer OO tanks IIRC. I’m sure that we will re-run them at some point though. cheers Mike
  16. We don’t have any imminent plans for a 73/9. Might be worth asking Dapol to reconsider producing a 73/9 in N given they have a chassis for it! cheers Mike
  17. DRS were planning (when we surveyed the KUAs) that all 4 Mk2s would be used as required for escort duties.
  18. Slight correction - Haig was in Whitehaven not Workington. Coal came down a conveyor to be loaded at the harbour side in Whitehaven. HAAs were also later used to take coal from Maryport south. Cheers Mike
  19. Indeed and that has worked to the benefit of all both ways (ie the opposite has also been true)! Competition law restricts some very obvious things like price fixing, bid rigging, dominant player abuse as well as doing away with retail price maintenance. I'm guessing that the issue that most people are referring to here is potential market sharing which is illegal and mainly focuses on geographical market sharing or dividing up which customers will be supplied. However there are exemptions for co-operation where the benefits to customers outweigh any reduction in competition, for example cheaper and faster development of products. Co-operation comes in many forms as well ie one business may purchase or commission services/goods from another to the benefit of both parties. As Guy says individual companies still have to make their own decisions about what is in their best interests and providing they are not colluding to restrict price or supply then there is no issue. Cheers Mike
  20. Apologies for sidetracking our thread on the IWAs(!), I'm hoping that Farish are working on FFA/FGAs based on their OO model. Between C Rail and Revolution we're gradually working through the various replacements for the FFA/FGAs with KFAs and KQA/KTAs delivered and FSA/FTAs and Ecofrets on the way. Cheers Mike
  21. If you paid in full then it means your order has gone to the PO (or will be the next working day), if you paid a deposit and balance then your order is only despatched once both parts are marked as complete. Cheers Mike
  22. Ha! No you’re not alone - when I was researching some sample flows (which I must publish) some of the flows are exclusively IWAs with IUAs and they would be very useful! cheers Mike
  23. The KUAs replaced IQAs and their predecessors (which were all carried on ferries) and as a result have been designed for ferry use but they’ve never been on a ferry. There are still IQAs running on the continent (well not IQAs but the UIC equivalent!) but the UK’s pair of IQAs never saw much use and are now rotting. Cheers Mike
  24. It was answered earlier in this thread and reposted on page 7. cheers Mike
  25. Yes, Crepello is correct - the wheels are chemically blackened. cheers Mike
