  1. Looks great, and this certainly isn't a criticism, but wasn't a wagon very similar to this announced by another retailer recently? Rich
  2. Thanks for everyone's feedback! Seems I got a little confused between Cement and China Clay. I know ICA, TTA, VGAs are all available RTR in 00. I just need to look into Slurry TTA/TUA and TCA options to model this train!
  3. Thanks Flood! Now I need to see if any of them are available as models/kits/conversion parts!!
  4. Hi there, I was wondering if anyone can identify the wagon types in the train at @2:20 in this video? I'm thinking it's as follows - but certainly things I don't recognise: Class 37, Class37, Silver Bullet (Does this have a TOPS code), VDA (x3), Silver Bullet, PCA, ????, Silver Bullet, ????, PCA (x4) Any help would be great. Thanks, Rich
  5. I would put some cork or something onto a 12mm ply top. Are you going to brace the plywood base at all?
  6. I think that's only for the new liveries. The rest will be here by the end of November I think... This applies to codes: H4-66-001 - H4-66-030 (including Digital & Sound Fitted models) H4-66-031 will be air freighted in full for pre-Christmas delivery. All of the above should arrive before the end of November.
  7. Seems like any pre-order (before November 14th) is now 'priority' and is being air freighted. Anyone who has agreed to pay the £10 extra for air freight will now not be charged that £10.
  8. Yes - I understand what it's done, but it feels like some logic needs to be plugged in to the search algorithm as most people typing in Class 66 on the site are looking for a Class 66 loco. It's just something that annoys me about the search on the site.
  9. Assume October delivery is no longer happening then! In all seriousness, just spoken with Hatton's customer service and now they're still estimating December for standard livery and 6 weeks earlier for air freight.
  10. My biggest issue with any search functions on the site, is that the search doesn't work for Class types. Here are my results for Class 66.
  11. Wow - this looks awesome, but probably just before the time period that I'm looking at!
  12. Can't see your photos - which is a shame because they all sound great!
  13. I have my own version of Rule 1 on my layout. Simply put if it happened once then I can run it. So with that in mind, and with an urge to be able to running something a little different, what have people seen (and ideally photographed or filmed) in South Wales between 1995-2000? I'm mainly thinking about traction here, although odd trains behind fairly ordinary traction would be interesting. Things like charter workings, specials, railtours & odd stock visiting Canton are all good! Let's see what you all have - could be a really interesting thread, not only for me, but everyone else. Rich
  14. Thanks Simon and Stu - these photos are really useful!
  15. Thanks for clearing this up Paul. And also thanks for the signalling diagram? So it seems that whilst my plan is possible in the WR, it would be more likely done with a trailing cross over and a head shunt? I was ideally looking to be able to get units onto the siding so I might look to stick with the facing cross overs.
  16. Hi mate. Thanks for the info - but I was thinking of the coaches that Simon above has suggested! I'm not sure I'd have forgotten those pink coaches quite so quickly. When I was trying to research this, I kept coming across these though. Very interesting working and I'm sure a great project to model for someone out there!
  17. Hi Simon! These are exactly the workings I was hoping to get info on! Do you (or anyone else) have photos of the workings and the coaches? It's something that I'd love to model!
  18. Yes - this a Pathfinders railtour, but using the stock that was used on the services I'm thinking of. I'm guessing the stock was hired in as I'm only ever remember seeing pictures of them behind freight liveried Class 37s.
  19. Hi there, I remember around the late 90s early 00s, there were some Class 37 workings on the Wales & West or Wessex network (I think it was the Cardiff-Portsmouth workings) that used Class 37s with MK2s in red/maroon and blue liveries. My base knowledge of these services is pretty shaky, so I'm finding it hard to research via Google. I have found a picture online of the MK2s I mean, but does anyone have more information about the stock? Specifically I'm looking for running numbers, stock (looks like MK2b to me, but I'm no expert) and even basics like what the livery of these coaches actually are. Many thanks in advance. Rich
  20. Really sorry, but what do you mean by facing and trailing crossovers?
  21. Hi Nick, Thanks for taking the time to comment. Do you mean the crossover on the left hand side? The layout would be South Wales between Bristol and Newport so would expect colour light signals. Rich
  22. Sorry, you're right I should have mentioned that - it's 1990s!
  23. Does anyone know, in RailModeller Pro, is there anyway to create landscaping? I'm using it and I have worked out track gradients and they look great in the 3D mode, but I can't work out if there is anyway to show the landscapes. Seems odd if it's not possible!
  24. Hi all, I'm putting together the plan for a new layout and I could with some help to create some prototypical signalling. I have attached the track plan, it's a fairly simple one so hopefully the signalling should be fairly simple too. The siding/depot will be accessed off the main line either with a reversing manoeuvre from the down, or across the points from the up. It would be great to know where the signalling (and what kind) I need on the mainline and then what ground signals I need in the depot. If you have any questions, please let me know. Rich
