  1. I seem to recall a layout built by the late John Brewer, former editor of Railway Modeller, done in this way. Only saw it the once though. All the best Ray
  2. That's right Tony, if you need any soldering done. You have not seen inside the Crystal Palace High Level main control panel. It's not called the mighty Wurlitzer for nothing. All the best Ray
  3. I might have a dabble as well. Mind you with Crystal Palace and St Mellion to work on, there will not be much time in the near future. All the best Ray
  4. Hi Tony. See I told you Colin would be watching. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year Colin. Hope that you are keeping well. All the best Ray
  5. Looking good to me and I was not aware about the lighting. All the best Ray
  6. I have both of these on order and looking forward to them. There is definite improvement to the DD and it is now starting to look the part. I hope that the items on the Leader are being addressed before it is released which hopefully will not be too far into the new year. All the best Ray

I have a vague memory the bodies of the cars being cast in brass, but I might be wrong. All the best Ray

This might have been Varney models (Jim Varney) who did a range of car kits in the 1970/80's. They do turn up from time to time on 2nd hand stalls. All the best Ray
  9. We have always gone for breakfast on the Saturday at the cafe and it has been good, although it would appear that it has changed hands again.
  10. I shall be there tomorrow stewarding. Our chairman will also be exhibiting one of his layouts. All the best Ray
  11. No not this year, not ready yet, but hopefully next year. All the best and see you Saturday. Ray
  12. I will be there as a steward. All the best Ray
  13. I suppose that the sign was more or less opposite the original South Bermondsey Station.
  14. Are they bringing diabetic cake and gluten free for Steve ?
  15. What are the N Gauge trams ? I am familiar with the Matchbox one, but not the larger London ones.
  16. I wonder why they put a street sign in that particular position ? Any trains for Southwark Park Station ? See you tonight, lots of cake to eat. All the best Ray
  17. Has anyone produced London trams by 3 D printing ? Ideally home printing or using a small agency. I would imagine anything done through Shapeways would be ridiculously expensive. 3D printing should make it reasonably easy to produce lots of detail variations without having to physically alter anything.
  18. Hi Colin. Pleased to hear that you are on the mend. I am keeping an overview of this topic as Tony is a member of our club. Just got over Covid, so should be back to the club next week All the best Ray Not sure if it is my computer or the server running very slow at the moment.
  19. A 2 car 1938 stock set from the IoW in Island Line livery has not been done yet and might prove of interest. All the best Ray
  20. Perhaps if the bright red SE & CR coaches are sold out, Hattons might consider doing some more runs in the original dark red livery and the later Wellington Brown ?
  21. Shade of blue ? The warning yellow and most other colours were wrong as well. I got the original green one, that was probably the most accurate of the first batch. All the best Ray
  22. Looking good. Joyce the Waddon Gas Works loco should make for a very nice model. All the best Ray
  23. Hi Mr Snail. I have one of those old kits put by in the maturing cupboard as well. I think that there were some differences in the wheels/cranks/rods etc when compared with the 08 and 09, but I cannot remember what they are. Looks good to me. All the best Ray
