  1. 08.48 more drainage? gravel spread by the wall bottom left overnight notice when driving by yesterday noon, that there was about 3/4 tonne pile left beside the road at the traffic lights, probably just tidied that up
  2. 08.32 Digger working infront of overhanging garage
  3. 08.15 somebody's hi vis vest/jacket blown off the wall onto the down track? thought it was just a lens reflection at first but compared with previous pic it has moved closer to the rail theres a real sneaky easterly wind this am, choppy seas Black bucket signifies small works???? NOTE;- the times that go with the photos are the time I captured the web cam image which means the update could have been (usually, unless the cam has stuck, which is quite rare) any time in the previous 15 or so minutes
  4. 08.02 Inspection chappie? chappess? coming down in black 4x4? looks like todays work might dissapear off screen to the left after a while
  5. 07.52 crewcab pickup on scene, unloading/loading timber? the scaffolding that was this side of the barrier fence has gone overnight
  6. looks like the 'fillet' of clean 3/4 stone alongside the "L" wall was not covered with sheet after all, men with shovels/forks seem to have leveled it out over the so far top level of red stuff
  7. the lorries carrying the red stuff ( index 4.21,, ref 365/12 sub section14/7) were this morning coming into Dawlish from the Exeter direction
  8. When blown up, looks like a Bomag or similar double vibrating roller parked up on the level I thought the last lot looked a smooth finish 12.02
  9. Scalpings, thats the word, I knew I knew it, but I had forgotten it, after all its only 40 years since I tipped a load of scalpings!! yes there is the white geo between the wall and the scalpings and between them & the 3/4 chippings probably not easy to see if anyone has a 19"? monitor But I am spoilt with a wide screen 43"? screen that shows a lot of detail although my photo prog Jasc Paint Shop does get pixilatted if I blow it up too large and some on here have obviously got a better, more up to date prog that can show even more detail
  10. 10.53 am At a guess the quarry was a bit slow off the mark this am unless management were leaving a long enough window for completion of overnight works? anyhow lorry tipped (8 tonnes load?) admin car in middle second lorry behind?
  11. 9.00 am my thoughts overnight the white geo sheet pulled back off the drainage gravel? more clean 3/4 stone added on top of pipe/drainage trench, piled against the wall covered with more geo which has then been fixed to the "L" pieces Or have I not fully woken up yet? Oh and a blue thingy on wheels crept into the picture prompted by wife;- (plus a bit of yellow, oh & red) not that observant after all!!! EDIT;- if you look closely at Mozzers pic there is a pile of clean stone tipped in the back ground, definately not quarry tailings etc.
  12. It is an old established business Dont know if it was the name of the owner like Mr or Mrs Gay or wether it was named after a female of the family, daughter or wife perhaps Any how that's their van in the workers compound on 4th April reopening looks like supplying pasties to the Orange army
  13. was nice to chat with you Keith by the way did you find the pasty shop in Brunswick road, in Dawlish Opposite side of the brook to the main shops they're not bad They also do some fantastic ice creams
  14. 17.39 Is that bigger stone thats being spread or just my eyesight?
  15. picture of digger sitting on top of a pile of 3/4" clean chippings with dumper behind, I see it says 6 tonne on the side, I imagine that to be its TOTAL gross weight not its load capacity? photo taken at 12.15 still the same at 4 .15 so I imagine that was the filler for the trench Sat in the road between the traffic lights on Exeter road, at the entrance to Riviera & Sealawn Terrace
  16. Aha, said the ex lorry driver a lorry at last just off out for now
  17. 13.40 hot day is drying the infill, this has obviously just arrived Not seen a single lorry delivering Not even on the road passing up top of Riviera Terrace Exeter road but there is a pile of clean 3/4 chippings with a lil biddy daffodil digger sitting on top & a 3? ton dumper both standing idle no drivers in sight, between the traffic lifghts!
  18. Ok 12.38 gentle ramp of infill 13.01 with back ground 13.17 slowly creeping forwards EDIT;- Snap but I got to go out again keep going mozzer!!
  19. The 8 am shift is off ( probably the 7.30 one but out of sight) unrolling geo sheet? I will be unavailable for an hour or two if someone could do a screen capture or two from the NWR webcam?
  20. I recon there will be a few lorries down Exeter Road today, to get that filled!!
