  4. https://matchbox.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_1959_Matchbox Hi Jack. I found the above site useful when I was sorting out scales on my own childhood collection of Matchbox and Lesney. It's a bit unwieldy and long winded to navigate but nearly every model has a scale, I suspect that some of the scales may be just an opinion but I found it to be a good starting place. Hope this helps. Regards. Rich

  10. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125003955085 Just can't see £69.15 here, also reading his description, I'm struggling to grasp what he's on about. The lot has just been relisted, after knocking a quid off the previous asking price! Regards, Rich
  11. Howdo. I watched the video of the Rocket Railways bloke splodging stuff on the Tanker. For some unexplained reason the lyrics of an old Rolling Stones hit came to mind '' I see a red door and I want to splodge it black'' I'll have this earworm for the rest of the day now Regards, Rich
  12. I thank you for your sympathy. In fact I do my beloved Margaret an injustice. Apart from being a very accomplished scratch builder and restorer of 1/12th Dolls Houses she has, for the last 21 years accompanied me to North Wales to indulge me in my fetish for things ''Narrow Gauge'' She is quite capable of holding her own in a conversation about matters Ffestiniog , Tal y Llyn etc. Its just tInplate junk has her scratching her head a bit. Bless Her. I'm sure she'll let me back in in a few hours? BTW This Asda Fire Water ain't too bad this week. Cheers All Rich
  13. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165146791161?hash=item2673840cf9%3Ag%3AsSIAAOSwgFdhdZ5l&LH_Auction=1 The Dublo Silly Season continues 40 notes plus 14 more notes P&P I wish people would do a bit of research before listing My missus found this lot and is giving me funny looks. I'm back on the naughty step as she don't believe me when I tell her those 4 tea chests full of dublo track that are causing our back bedroom floor to bend are, in actual fact, worth the square root of nowt and not worth the effort of listing. Looks like I'm on a diet of cold shoulder and hot tongue again. Oh well. Time for a couple of cans of Hobgoblin Gold, out in the shed, again. Cheers , hic, Rich

  16. Hi again. You may well have this but here's a link to Lendons of Cardiff website. Scroll down a bit and there's down loadable links to the Dublo service sheets. Duchess is number 5, City is number 12 http://www.lendonsmodelshop.co.uk/?button=button2&servicesheets=none Regards, Rich
  17. Hello John I'm a 3 rail lad myself so I've never had my hands on a London. I've just had a quick look in the Michael Foster Dublo Bible. He reckons the motor was re designed for the London model. I've checked out the parts list and drawings and at first look the only difference in part numbers between Duchess and City locos seems to be the top adjustable bearing (the screw threaded bit) I wonder if you remove the top adjustable bearing completely the motor will then come out? I've had the odd screechy 3 rail loco but as RAF 96 says a clean and a dab of oil usually does it. Just a suggestion but if you post this in Vintage/ collectable there are quite a few knowledgeable chaps who may not have seen your question here. Scroll down a bit in the V and C section and there's a thread called Hornby Dublo. I'm a bit busy at the moment but later tonight I'll have a look through my stash of chassis and make sure I don't have a London Lurking. Hope this helps a bit. Regards, Rich
