  1. I know that this has already been asked but what has happened to 47245 in WCRC Maroon livery? This was due back in February, it's still not here, Hattons do not have a delivery date for it and it still advises February. Have these actually been produced or was the order cancelled before it reached the factory and we just haven't been notified about it? EDIT: Bachmann still have it listed on their website with an RRP of £159.95 with no delivery date. This would suggest that they have it in stock alike other items that are listed in the same way. So possibly we can expect them to arrive with retailers any time now? Thank you very much in advance.
  2. Currently I don't think that Bachmann have the tooling to produce 116 Jim. The current nearest tooling to that combination that they have is with the "door" on the noses, although the current modern day 116 does not have the doors on the noses and instead has the flush fronts, without the door.
  3. Thank you very much for posting this. I didn't know about this one until now. Typical though for it to be announced now that I have already renumbered a 405 model to 425. I would have preferred the Limited Edition but not to worry.
  4. If you Ebay search "Bachmann 47805" their is a result listed that has two for sale at £136.95 each plus £4.00 postage. I have bought one from this seller. To my knowledge this is the cheapest place that has them for sale. Hope this helps.
  5. Thanks Andy. I wasn't aware of this. It does make sense to rework the 158 more extensively considering the amount of liveries that can be modelled. Personally I would rather wait for a reworked model/s than just have one that allows DCC Fitting. Very much looking forward to reworked 158s.
  6. Off the top of my head the 158s were announced in 2012, the DBSOs & MK2Fs in 2013, the 90s in 2014, the Colas 70/8 and Freightliner 70/0 in 2015 and the 20/3s in January 2017. We are yet to see any of the above projects, some of which were announced several years ago released. The Class 70s are due to arrive this month or next month, the MK2Fs and DBSOs in Summer 2018, the 90s in March 2019, the 158s in Summer 2019 and the 20/3s are yet to be given a release date. Although the order announced doesn't necessarily mean the order released in. As you can see the 158s, MK2Fs and DBSOs were announced the earliest but they will be the last ones from the above list to be released. Because the 168, 170 and 171 retools have just been announced in January 2018 I very much doubt that we will see them before 2020. Possibly we are looking at a 2020/2021 release at the earliest considering that the 20/3s are yet to be given a release date and these were announced 14 months ago.
  7. This was my situation a few weeks ago: On some occasions their is a ticket man/woman at the station but this is not guaranteed and their is no consistency as to as and when they will be their. On this occasion their was no one their on the platform to buy a ticket from. The ticket machine was out of order and couldn't be used. So then I tried to get onto the app. The app wasn't working so this prevented me buying a ticket online. So my last and only resort was to get onto the train and hope that I could buy a ticket on their and that no questions would be asked. There was no one on the train to buy a ticket off of either. So I bought a ticket when I arrived in Leeds. Luckily their were no questions asked and then I then too had tickets for my onward journey also with Northern. The point is that Northern are so intent on saying that people must pay to travel, which yes it true and correct and I am not condoning ticket evasion as I always pay when I can but Northern should ensure that their ticket machines and their app are working and that staff are consistently present and available to buy tickets off of on the platform. As is proven on some occasions none of the four options to buy tickets are available so their is no option than to get on the train when you have somewhere to be. Northern are quick to point the finger and distribute blame to customers who haven't got a ticket but they should really ask themselves why. They should then ensure that situations alike the above do not occur so that everyone can buy tickets before they board the train.
  8. I wouldn't worry about the new Bachmann 171 arriving anytime soon. It still says "to be advised" on the Bachmann website under the delivery date. As a rough estimate considering that the 90s aren't due until March 2019, the 158s Summer 2019 and the 20/3s haven't yet got a delivery date (and these were announced in January 2017) I would say you are probably looking at 2020 before the retooled 171 arrives maybe even later. That's just an estimate based on what's already been announced but personally I can't see it arriving this year or next year.
  9. Brilliant! Great photos! The cabs in the 68s are so good. I have cabbed 003 and 006. Possibly 008 too. Very smart indeed. I always seem to miss the 68s in Leeds. I only ever find out that they are going to be there the day before, on the day or when they have left. Need to keep my eyes peeled more.
  10. Thanks for sharing the brilliant photo. I missed this one but co-incidentally I have 005 in OO Gauge
  11. If anyone wants a Bachmann DRS 47805 model if you Ebay search "Bachmann 47805" a result will come up showing £136.95 plus £4.00 postage. There are two left available. Hope this helps.
  12. Thank you very much for letting me know. I really appreciate it. That's brilliant. I will definitely be getting the train into Leeds so that I can see these services with the 68s on. Their a rarity in Leeds so I will be making the most of these opportunities.
  13. Thank you very much for the reply and for letting me know. I really appreciate it. That's brilliant. That gives me five days a week to see these trains and potential see more 68s working them.
  14. Thank you very much for posting these times. I will venture to Leeds Station to see these. So am I right in thinking that each diagram/service will consist of two 68s meaning that I will be able to see four 68s in Leeds within an hour or so? Also does SSuX mean that the trains operate Saturday and Sunday only? Thank you very much in advance.
  15. Thank you for the replies and the help. I really appreciate it. I just didn't want to damage the paintwork but I'm now feeling a lot more confident that I won't. Hopefully I'm going to have 818 to go with 805. Thanks again.
  16. I have just had a quick check on the LTM website. The two four car sets of the reissued versions from last year are now £271 per set as opposed to £340. All of the intermediate cars are now £36 each as opposed to £45 each. I'm presuming that this sale is only on for the bank holiday weekend so it may end tomorrow. There are also further discounts on other products on the Bachmann page. Hope this is of use to someone. https://www.ltmuseumshop.co.uk/models/Bachmann#show=15
  17. Thank you to Classy52, Big Jim and MRDBLUE17 that replied to query a few weeks. I really appreciate it. So will a cocktail stick definitely remove the printed nameplates off of 805 without damaging the paintwork? Just clarifying because I have never removed printed nameplates before, just renumbered locos. Thank you very much in advance.
  18. If I'm really honest I am disappointed with Hornby and retailers. I haven't bought an 800. I was going to but I decided to wait and see what the initial response was on here and when I saw it I decided to save a good £400. I feel very sorry for people who are lumbered with models with an RRP of nearly £400 each that won't even run around a circuit of track. There is absolutely no excuse for this. Clearly Hornby's testing and test tracks are very basic and minimal and don't account for tighter curves, gradients and other track formations that the majority have people have incorporated onto their layouts. Also the fact that Hornby haven't issued a public statement acknowledging the fault and apologising is disgraceful considering the cost of the model that customers can't even run either whatsoever, or they have to wait for Hornby to rectify the issue and fix it themselves. Hornby should be accepting full liability here and asking for all of the models to be returned to them to be repaired/rectified. Customers shouldn't have to practically beg in some instances for a response to their queries regarding the issue and be constantly waiting for Hornby to respond when they have caused this issue through poor or a lack of QC. Very, very disappointing Hornby. A model that looks immaculate but yet won't run around a circuit of track without derailing for most owners. You wouldn't think that such a major flaw in relation to the running/movement of a model would go unnoticed and unmissed in 2018. So not only poor QC but also poor customer service. Come on Hornby sort this out.
  19. Thank you very much for the help. I really appreciate it. I have ordered one from the hobby shop and I am looking forward to receiving it.
  20. Hi all, Does anyone know anywhere that is selling 47727 "Rebecca" cheaper than £154.50? Thank you very much in advance.
  21. Completely agree. Improved and better lighting options would be brilliant. It would be brilliant if both marker lights worked when the loco is moving forwards as opposed to only one of them. Also different lighting options for day and night time operation would be brilliant.
  22. I bet Bachmann and retailers absolutely love GBRF what with all of their special liveried 66s. The ones that have yet to be announced and produced are: 723, 725, 743, 746, 775, 782, 783 and 789. That's not to mention 784, 785, 786 and 787 if they are all going to receive special liveries too. Personally I can see all of these locos been produced over the next few years.
  23. This is brilliant news Charlie. Thank you for posting. Please could you re-run some of the previous liveries from the last batch? I would really like some FGW local lines 143s and some Northern purple liveried 144s. I missed out on all of these models because I wasn't aware of them until they sold out. I would also like the Wessex and GWR Green liveried Class 143s.
  24. Class 37s with working wipac lighting? That would be my wish. A selection of attractive liveries certainly fits that criteria at least!
  25. Yes, I was in the station on Thursday and Friday and their were no issues with regards to the separated train. Hope this helps.
