Mine has been dispatched as well. Now to see how long it takes to make its way to Australia.
-
The last few pages really reminds me of how much English modellers are spoilt for choice, and pay next to nothing for it when compared to some markets (such as the Australian market).
-
Since Hornby was bringing out updated versions of models previously produced period packaging is it too much to ask for them to bring back a modern take on the old Tri-ang Minic garden railway system

A newly tooled Saint to compliment Didcot’s latest efforts would be fantastic, I’d pre-order one the instant the opportunity came up. One thing I’m very much hoping to see is a train pack featuring Lion and some of he new 3rd class L&MR coaches. Rocket was a massive success for Hornby and it would be interesting to see if they tried to bank on that success with another similar release.

113 sold through Olivias on ebay and I'm able to add 31 coaches to my shopping cart. Hmmmm
-
It’ll be crunch time for them soon enough. This alone gives me reason not to shop from Olivias.
-
How the heck has Olivias been allowed to get away with this? 106 sold at the time I viewed the listing and they had approx 20 more for sale across the pristine and weathered options...
-
Looks excellent! Looking forward to my one showing up when Hattons gets their stock in
-
It would've been good if Hornby had decided to make some more of the coaches, with (at a guess) around 3,000 Rocket sets floating about having just 1,000 coaches seems a bit odd. Surely they could've sold 1500 or even a few more at a push?
-
I’ve had a Rocket hauling 6 of the yellow coaches with ease
-
I can’t recall it being shown anywhere that these coaches would be a limited release
-
It’s annoying seeing as I’m in Australia and had a few ordered for myself and a couple of mates to save on postage. Hopefully this second batch due 2021 allows everyone to get the coaches they want.

Photos are the right way up in my phones camera folder, might be a site issue

Spring loaded plungers might be the go to for pickups these days. I suspect they’d be a lot better than what Airfix used back in the day.
-
Does anyone know if there are any plans to produce any Terriers in their A1X condition in the Improved Engine green livery, similar to what their Collector Club exclusive model was but as part of the main range? If they Did Stepney in this format I know I would jump at the chance to get one, as I'm sure a lot of other people would.

It seems my loco is having an identity crisis at the moment... Plates from Fox don’t fit the Dapol locos, so I’m awaiting ones from Narrow Planet, and a new smokebox door from Dapols parts supplier to finish it off.

Romford Crankpin Question
aaron3820 replied to aaron3820's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
The kits were supplied from DJH to a local distributor so could well have been issued with custom wheels. The flanges and tyres are original, the wheels haven’t been modified. It’s a NSWGR D57 correct. -

Dapol Black Label A4 smoke unit spares

You’d think that with the instructions being made up using a computer program Dapol would have a digital copy they could freely distribute to people?
