    Bachmann quality has seriously dropped. 3 of the past 5 models I purchased are none runners or faulty. A joke really when the rrp has increased.

      Possibly, you'd hope retails did more than just put items back on the shelves for resale.

    I've finally braved the weather today & nipped up the Worth valley to my local model ( haworth station ) to buy my railway children set. The first thing that struck me about the set was the packaging. The box is exceptionally sturdy & thicker card than the train sets. I'm very happy with my set, a piece of my local history & a really nice touch to accompany my hand signed photo of perks by Bernard Cribbins. I have the ambulance train pack to pick up later today from the post office which I'm looking forward to seeing if the calibre is the same as this set. Bachmann have got it spot on I think with these sets & hopefully will be something each year to release.

    I purchased the railroad version on Saturday & mine too ran perfectly well from the off with a standard gaugemaster dc controller.

    A ex ger buck jumper in oo would be good along with an ex l&y barton Wright class 25 or the L&y saddle tank. I think all would be appealing & good sellers

    What a well modelled, beautiful layout. I particularly like the station building I think it's great. The layout reminds me of my trips to the west Somerset railway & holidays in the west country.
