  1. a scale model of the yard I passed every day going up to London Bridge - great work.
  2. I will second the request for a decent Class 40. I think it would be an excellent seller if you could get there before farish! Cheers Guy
  3. What fantastic news, what a sight it will be.
  4. oooh a kriegslok - do you know whose plans the owner used to build it ? Guy
  5. Very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my mother recently and I can imagine how hard it can be. Its good sometimes to have a distraction, and 2mm is as good as a distraction as I can think of. Certainly the running qualities of modern diesels are hard to resist in 2mm and are so much easier than steam unless you take the stephen harris route....... Guy
  6. its a very impressive bit of turnout construction, a job well done - may I ask which point motors you are using. Guy
  7. you know 2mm in the garden makes sense Cheers Guy
  8. One of the great things about wood work is that if your not happy with the finish you can use filler, sand it smooth and give it a slash of paint. I personally enjoy working with wood - ducks below parapet! I certainly found it a lot easier since I bought a plane allowing me to get straight edges. All the best Wyvern
  9. have you thought about soldered track construction as you already have a templot layout or are you planning to use easitrack from the off? I have been quite taken by south wales modelling myself having seen articles about Stephen Harris' Yaysnarwed Sidings of which there are a few photos on the internet. All the best with your project Wyvern

Hi, Great to see someone else building track in the smaller scales. Have you thought about easitrack as you are laying track to 9.42mm gauge? All the best Wyvern
