So please keep an eye out for them Tomorrow at your local stockist just in case. They should all have left here to stockists by Thursday at the latest.

    cheers

  2. Hi Dye from sunny Philadelphia,

That was a typo on the website I'm afraid.

The western wil remain 21 pin, with PluX22 appearing on the 73

    Cheers

  3. Hi chaps,

A very interesting development this last week with the 21/29 project.

I've been given a list of almost 100 NBL plans and designs of Diesel loco's that the Mitchell have found, which are un-catalogued.

I have ordered copies of all but a few of these (a few catalogued ones involving boiler supports and seat design and revised seat design :-)), and once I have them all I'll be able to let you know, but it does look very hopeful.

I have side on cutaway drawings, bogie drawings and cab window and cab front drawings now, so there are bound to be some that I can use in that lot.

Fingers crossed I can get it cracked over the following few weeks and update you then.

    Cheers

  4. No plans for champion, as i verbally assured the Champion's owners that this would, if or when they wanted it, be 'THEIR' model.

They gave us fantastic access to Champion at short notice, and this is by means of a thank you from Dapol.

    cheers

  6. Not at all.

We took orders for Blue Westerns and filled them in full.

We then allocated some to our shop downstairs and online shop and they get sold at full RRP.

No shenanigans (dont you just love that word?) i assure you.

    Cheers

  7. Hi Rich,

The blue/grey wagons are now in transit.

They were picked up from the factory last week and should be on a ship at this moment.

    Not long now

    Cheers

  8. Hi chaps,

Just spoke to dispatch, who to the best of their knowledge tell me that there are no outstanding shop orders for BR Blue Westerns that need to be sent.

Just as an addition i have checked stock and we do have some here, so if you want one, let your local stockist know we have them.

    cheers

  9. Nope, Dave got it.

The message count for this thread is in the 1000's!

This message being 1029 Western Legionnaire

    Easy really and quite apt.

    Cheers

  10. Well you'll need to convince us that we can make a return for our investment.

Now a tool (single tool) for just the roof will be expensive (say £3k) so we'd need to sell 3000 at £1.00 each to pay for the tool, not including the 1000 roof mouldings, packing, shipping etc

So Frobisher, my challenge to you is this....... 1) if it's such a good idea give me the money and i'll do you the tooling for you to make the money (loss or profit) from, or 2) get me 3000 sales (minimum) for the roof replacement and i'll see then if its viable.

now a back of the fag packet answer would be no, but if the market is truly there please prove me wrong (as yes i'd be truly pleased to be so)

Then dont get me started on coach bodies at £6k for the body tool then the chassis tool if the underframe is different, then the glazing tool...........its not somewhere i wish to go, but again if the demand is there.......etc.

    cheers :locomotive:

  11. Many thanks Nidge - I had not been aware of this before as I thought Enterprise went into standard maroon.

I think it would make quite a nice model variant.

Dave - I think Dapol's versions of the alloy crests are the best I have seen. Would it be possible to supply spares in order to create this version of D1000?

    Adrian

    Hi Adrian,

They are part of Brian from shawplans range.  Not sure if they are available separately though but they are the best etchings he's done in my opinion.

    Give him a shout.

    cheers

  12. My Western Sovereign arrived from Lord & Butler today:

    attachicon.gifWesternSovereign-01.jpg

Most impressed - weathered, nameplates, number plates and reporting numbers attached and, most awesome, a SWDigital decoder married to a bass reflex speaker fitted. Happy bunny. Must learn how to do a utube thingy.

Methinks another call to Lord to Butler to order a similarly fitted blue version next week is on the cards.....

    Ooooooooooooooooooo now thats nice :locomotive:

  13. BR blue ones and the balance of the green ones arrived late today (Tuesday), I would expect them to start going to stockists tomorrow so keep an eye out on Thursday onwards.
