I think the Bachmann Deltic prototype model is one of their best and it is better than their production Deltics.

I’ve been banging on about these for years. I’m still waiting.
You certainly have :)

I live in hope that Bachmann will eventually do the 116. Having got a few 117s (great model), I fear I will be bankrupted if they release the 116.

The 2z and the 2a had centre doors not present on the 2b or 2c.
Bachmann do the 2z. The 2z is vacuum braked but is essentially the same as the 2a. It has the same body shell.

As stated above this was described by KR as the first pressing with EP to follow.
It is not a 3D print...
Sorry, I read that but it did not register. Not so easy to fix then.

Hopefully this is just a 3D print on a very early CAD which would be easy and cheap to fix. I am being optimistic but having followed progress on the Fell, I am concerned. I hope it is not another case of near enough is good enough. The excuses used for the Fell (that is was no longer around and changed frequently) do not apply so much here.
While it is another niche product, other manufacturers are raising the bar with their offerings but KR models seem content to limbo under it :)

was there any Mk2b TSOTs or were they all Mk2c?
As far as I know they were all Mk2c.

Think simple and think costs. So think development time/costs, design time/costs, and production methodology. So if you have already got an EE three axle bogie plus two developed examples of models and mechanisms which use that bogie what would you do next?
Equally if you already have two versions of GWR tenders what would you think about next?
Trying to think of what loco had EE 3 axle bogies and 2 GWR tenders. This really sounds more like a KR models project :) They managed to merge different versions of the Fell into the one model so I am sure they are up for the challenge.

The new Bachmann 20 is really good and the old model wasn’t all that bad, save for the lack of lights.
Exactly. I am sure Accurascale could make a great model of a 20 but the current one on the market is being updated. It is similar to people suggesting the 60, there is not too much wrong with the existing model on the market (lighting functions could be upgraded). Suggestions should be commercially viable and not just wish-listing. There are other lower hanging fruit, e.g. Class 50 and many steam engines, that make more commercial sense and are much more likely to appear.

Surely the blue and red would be a better match for the coaches, maybe AS will do two options .
I do not think the 31 ever had the blue and red scheme. The 24 and 46 did.

I ordered them immediately, never seen something go so quickly. They would be perfect with the RTC class 31 :)

We did get cake after lunch. A great day and an usual and unique perspective to view the railway. Many thanks to Revolution Trains for an amazing day.

We have not yet decided what will happen with the incorrectly made stock.
Ok you have inaccurate HAAs. The answer is obvious put them in red boxes and charge more for them.

I wonder if there would be any market for some more early Freight Liner flats, namely the FFA and FGA?
I wasn't interested in them when Bachmann done them, now I am, they seem like hens teeth, which is typical. You can find the 'outer' buffered examples still, but the 'inners' seem non existent.
Doesn't look as though Bachmann are interested in doing anymore.
This is never ever going to happen. Bachman have new tooling to a high standard, why would anyone do another one? The fact that they sold quickly makes it a certainty they will do more.
Hundreds of better options.

They certainly did enough huts but as it is May 4th they missed a trick by not doing a Jabba one.

It is EFE only with no extra information, so maybe it is just the bus part. I would have expected the rail items to be part of the Bachmann main announcement next month. Quoting directly it says "EFE Spring Announcement".
-
Bachmann appear to be doing a separate EFE announcement.
I was expecting the Bachmann Spring announcements next month and presumably that will still happen. Interesting to see they have a separate EFE one.

I had a dream last night that Accurascale announced a class 50.
Crazy dream or a sign of things to come?
Cheers,
60800
That is not a dream, it is a premonition or maybe even a prophesy
The odds on someone doing an all new 50 are getting shorter and shorter.

Given there's a 37//7 guaranteed, I think at least 1 will come.....Plus, it's Accurascale. Matching locos and stock is a bit of a thing 😉
One 37/7 has already been announced for 2023:

All models listed for sale do not have headcode boxes. I ordered 31110 and it does not have a headcode box.

Rails sent an email today saying next Friday (15/04/22) is the official launch day of their refurbished show room. They are doing a special open day so there could be something announced then? They say they will have up to date news from various manufacturers, as distinct for old and out of date news I suppose.
