  1. Are the chimneys glued in or just a push fit? I'm currently waiting for Beatrice to arrive. I wouldn't mind being able to get hold of a standard chimney in the future to allow me to swap chimneys and portray different eras of the locomotives life. Without the expense of 2 locomotives! Thanks
  2. Cheers. I'll have a think and start some research. Much appreciated. Your layout is a massive inspiration for me and am planning on making a similar track plan. Cheers, Luke
  3. Do you have any photos of the side tippler assembly since the photo bucket saga? I'm currently planning a colliery layout and am wanting to build a side tippler. Thanks Luke
  4. Peckett mardy monster is actually class OQ not Q6. Luke
  5. Thats much appreciated. I must say it look absolutely beautiful! Luke
  6. Any chance of reuploading the photos in the future Ruston? I’m thinking of getting a pre war kit now I’ve finished my post war one! Cheers. Luke
  7. Cheers for the painting info. Much appreciated. Looks lovely! Wish I had those skills. Luke
  8. How do you go about painting? Purely brush? Thanks. Luke
  9. Hi, I have finished my post war 100HP Sentinel. I’d just like to say this is the best running model I own. It far out performs all my RTR locos. Just like to say well done to RT Models and High level for bringing something so brilliant to the market. Thanks, Luke
  10. Thanks Dave. Much Appreciated, sorry again for going off topic. Luke
  11. Sorry to go off topic but what layout is that with the NCB Barclay? I’m currently making a colliery layout and would love to see more photos of that one! Luke
  12. Cheers. I've mostly got it done now! Got all soldering done on the chassis and body. Although I have omitted some of the fine rivet overlays as my soldering isn't too good to do that yet. Although I may superglue them on. Any advice on soldering the thin overlays on would be appreciated(by PM of course, not on rustons thread). I've took some photos along the way so will try and get a topic wrote up some time. Going slightly off topic, would you be able to upload photos back on to your pre war sentinel build? I'd like to build one soon and would find them helpful. Thanks and sorry for going off topic on your wonderful thread. Luke
  13. Looking good so far, I too have this kit and am still waiting to build it! I've had it over a year now. I'm currently building my first ever kit which is an rt models post war sentinel. I've just plucked up the courage to build the gearbox. Got the chassis finished yesterday and it run quite nice. Hopefully I'll get on with my Yorkshire kit in the next few months. Are you going with the typical all over wasp stripes on a yellow base? Luke
  14. I've had a Lilleshall one pre ordered for a while and I've just pre ordered 560 from derails. They have a price match guarantee so thought it was a good option!
  15. I'll get shopping then! Thanks for that. Much appreciated. Luke
  16. That's looking brilliant. I'm wanting to make a small colliery screens of similar size to your stone loader, what materials did you use and also do you have any photos of the assembly? Thanks. Luke
  17. Cheers for that. It's much appreciated and it's been good reading. Hopefully get started on mine in a few weeks. I'm hoping it arrives this week but I'm away for a week from Saturday. Luke
  18. I've ordered a post war version yesterday. Looking forward to seeing your progress Luke
  19. Is the hudswell Clarke still going ahead? Luke
  20. Cheers all. Got a gauge master combi on order. Wanting to convert to dcc so the combi is a stand in for a few months.... Cheers. Luke Hi all, just removed the MSC 11 plate on the tank, I used toothpaste and a cotton bud and it worked a dream! Luke
  21. Well I've got the peckett running perfectly slow and smooth now. Although I have another problem, I'm using a standard cheap black with red knob Hornby controller. With the power turn off as far as possible, the peckett still crawls! No other locos do it. Anybody got any ideas of what it could be?
  22. Little issue with my MSC Peckett. The front wheels have quite abit of side play, this causes the front crankpin to catch the inside of the cross head. Also the loco is very jerkey at medium speed, it's so smooth at dead slow and fast but when running at medium speed it behaves as if I am switching the current on and off. Anybody had this issue so far? Think I'll strip down and investigate Luke
  23. Okay no worries. The Hornby peckett has got me feeling all industrial recently...
  24. I've just bought a MSC one from digitrains. They appear to have MSC and huntley and palmers in stock
